Thank you so much to those of you who have shared this post! I would really love to be able to bring in lots of donations for this group! They are so wonderful and it’s truly amazing how many kiddos they have helped! Please consider donating! I am treating all $25 donations to a FREE TEA from my Tea Bar 🥤🥳

It’s been awhile 😂!
Since opening The Spice & Tea Exchange of New Albany three years ago, creating has been so challenging for me. The store demands much of my time and energy- which I honestly enjoy- but I also really miss being creative!

This sweet Little Golden Book Treasure Journal is for one of my delivery workers who just had a daughter… a whole YEAR ago 🤦🏽‍♀️! I have wanted to put it together for him and his wife while they were pregnant but ugh… the time… and energy thing! Now that his daughter is 21 years old 😂🤣 jk jk!

I recently participated in a creative business retreat where I realized one of the things holding me back from being creative these past 3-4 years (other than the lack of time and energy,) is my no longer being a SU! Demonstrator. I miss it terribly! I miss the demo friends with whom I’ve lost touch. And I miss the teaching aspect of owning my own studio. So designing and creating FOR MYSELF simply for the sake of enjoying art was/is something I have NEVER experienced without the inclusion of creating to make a buck or two. I have always created for other companies, SU!, and/or my own studio. Now I get to do it for pure pleasure. I have several mental obstacles associated with this concept which I am working to overcome- and looking forward to it!

If you choose to follow my journey to create for pure pleasure- HI, thx for joining me! And if you decide to move along, hopefully we will see one another again some creative day 💜!

I really miss having time to stamp! But I absolutely love my store and the guests I’ve met having been open now for almost 3 years! I am determined to get back to stamping- even if it’s only once a month or something like that! Maybe I should plan a weekend retreat and serve TEA ☕️ 🫖!!! Would you come?! How much would you pay for a weekend getaway? One where you would enjoy a Steeping 101 instructive session, a “Let’s Make Matcha” session, and a time to stamp and create session!!! And of course there would be delicious treats made with all kinds of Spice Blends from my store- The Spice & Tea Exchange of New Albany!!! How far would you travel to attend? Would you be willing to visit Southern Indiana for such a crafty getaway?! Let me know in the comments! If I have enough genuine interest, I just might start brainstorming!!! Yeeeeee this just might be the spark I need to get back into stampin’ again 🥳!!!

We have been open now for almost three years in Downtown New Albany (just 10-20 minutes from anywhere in Louisville, KY) and it always tickles us how so many people visit thinking we are JUST “a tea shop.” They enter our store with no idea the “spice” part of our name actually means… SPICE 😂! And when they are introduced to our more than 150 different Custom Made Spice Blends (blended right here in our store) that you cook with- it’s fun watching their minds explode and their mouth turn upward in the most excited way 😀😃!!!

So… THANK YOU, Kentuckiana (that’s northern KY and southern IN for those of you who aren’t from around “these parts” 😉) for being such TEA ENTHUSIASTS and for getting so excited when you discover the heart of our store is more than just Liquid Love ☕️💜🫖 !!!

Keep telling your friends and families about us!!! We are so very grateful to those of you who say things like, “I tell everyone about this store!” 🥰!! We look forward to serving you and your loved ones again soon!!!

Have a sweet and SPICY day, y’all 🌶️🫑 !!!
