Had to brag on my best friend for a minute. 🥹💙

Watching build The Junk Bug from scratch — hand crafted every single oyster shell, showing up to market after market, packing up that table and setting it back up again no matter how early the sunrise or how long the day — has been one of my favorite things to witness. And she’s doing it all while raising the sweetest little girl, Iva, who gets a front-row seat to watching her mama build something with her own two hands. That’s the kind of example that sticks with a kid forever.

Everything she makes is done with so much love, and it shows.

If you’re in the Lowcountry and haven’t checked out her handmade oyster art, jewelry, and custom pieces yet, do yourself a favor. She pours her whole heart into this, and she deserves every bit of support.

HELLO I'M: Doing my best. 🏅🫠

Notoriously slow at replying to emails around here. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Between so many uniquely special gifts to create, a million tabs open in my mind, and a chatty 4-year-old who talks my last brain cell to death, life is beautifully chaotic.

After many, many 4am bedtimes crafting into the early hours, you can bet I'm not the one arriving at the market at the crack of dawn either. 😆 Not exactly the typical way to run a business, but market life is not exactly a typical life to live! This is the season I'm in right now, and I'm embracing every messy, creative, beautiful part of it.

I've loved growing The Junk Bug while my own little "baby bug" has grown right alongside me. Somewhere along the way, I think she caught the arty/creative bug too. 💖

In August, Iva starts her next adventure at Pre-K, so I'm hoping to come up for air, stretch my wings a little, and maybe... just maybe... you'll hear from me a bit more often. 😆

In the meantime, thank you for trusting me with your special gifts, helping The Junk Bug grow, and always showing me so much patience. I couldn't do it without you. 🫶🏼
