Loving this pretty new bed we put up this week. Especially with the huge vintage teak wall from Indonesia we used as a backdrop to it! The antique Hungarian painted dowry chest at the foot of the bed is also a stunner. It’s all about combining new with old, clean lines with rustic textures - and then piling interesting textiles on top. The 1940’s Moroccan wedding blanket and handwoven Guatemalan throw work so well with the Turkish kilim and soft linen pillows.

Old Rajasthani village doors, carved panels from India and Indonesia, our newest collection of old teak and iron gates (these are great as courtyard doors, hanging on the wall for interest, or we’ve even had people suspend them over kitchen islands to hang pots on!) and a close up of one of our hand carved Timor style XL panels - always fun exploring the stacks in the back here at TDL!

Our Indonesia container has arrived at port and we are eagerly awaiting its delivery in the next few days. So many gorgeous treasures from Bali, Java, Lombok, Sumba, Sulawesi and beyond - can’t wait! From old teak wood carvings to terracotta tigers, vintage ceramic elephants to carved stone pots, freeform root wood benches to old glass demijohns - there are magic things in so much abundance. We will let you know as soon as they arrive!

Friday roundup of lovely TDL moments this week. We brought in so many magic new pieces and it’s feels like we moved the entire showroom around a dozen times. From old Himachal chests, to new sofas, big dramatic buffets, tons of new textiles including Moroccan carpets, coffee tables made from antique trunks, cart benches, consoles - it’s really fun in here right now!

Loving this new extra long black buffet we just brought in from India. A dramatic beauty - at over nine feet long - she’s ready to hold court in a big living or dining room space. With a big mirror or series of art above, a substantial pair of lamps on top - and plenty of room left over to put out dishes to share with the whole family - she’s practical as well as gorgeous. So many fabulous things still coming out from our newly arrived India shipment.

Green sofa love forever. Pair one with our tiger chairs? Unforgettable. Suzani, ikat, and vintage Moroccan kilim pillows, a coffee table made from an old door panel, piles of plants and a gorgeous old Himachal chest - joy!

Getting very excited for our next container which is hitting port very soon. Indonesia! This shipment is packed with all sorts of amazing treasures from all over the archipelago - but one thing that particularly stands out this time is the number of fantastic old terracotta pots and hand carved stone planters that are coming. Sooo many beauties. These work indoors or out and make wonderful groupings. From Sumba, Java and Bali - great texture and scale. Can’t wait to receive this one. Should arrive within the next two weeks. We will keep you posted!

Love a mix of Moroccan, Indian, and Central Asian textiles. This bed has a full passport with its travel inspiration. A handwoven Moroccan wool rug acts as bedcover, suzani and sabra pillows layer up. A carved Rajasthani elephant holds court on a basket tray from Lombok.

Loving the giant teak daybeds we just got in - made from reclaimed wood, with long carved panels and lots of room for lounging and plenty of pillows!

Little May moments to remind ourselves that we still have mornings and evening to enjoy these beautiful spaces outside here in AZ. Even though the heat is on midday - the summer sun is gentle as it slips along the horizon. Poolside and patios still welcome for gatherings and quiet solo moments… let’s all enjoy it while we can. Zellige tables work all year long outside - and our teak daybeds and benches are perfect for covered outdoor living rooms.
