All new parts dyed black and still being assembled. Looking forward to seeing the finished project soon.

All new parts cut out and formed. Time to dye all pieces black followed by several hours of handsewing.

Vinyl doesn't breath very well so the knee pads were all moldy inside.

Very thankful I have a curved trim knife from because it makes seam ripping so much faster and less risky.

Everything that's white in the last picture is vinyl and will all be replaced; gusset, interior of knee pad, and top half of sweat flap & panels. Now to make patterns and cut out the new parts...

So much vinyl to get rid of in this saddle. Still can't believe vinyl was used, especially to cover the points -- I gue...

This week's challenge is to repair this saddle. It's made of leather and vinyl. Going to rebuild the sweat flaps and knee pads and replace the gusset to replace all the vinyl with proper leather.
