Well.. I haven't posted in quite some time. For that, I apologize. Rather than gripe about how things are going, I will share some images from a Custom Order I just recently completed for my mother. 😎 (slideshow shows Start to Finish (after initial 1st pic)) I didn't take as many pictures as I should of. Handling my phone & being drenched with sweat only reminds me not to drop the Soap... 😅(Austin is Just SOOOOO HOT! #@!🥵(& humid)) However, I will endeavor to take more next time!

I got a few small odd jobs around the village to hopefully help with my income. While I'm honestly becoming more unsure of what's really to become of the woodshop & forge here but, Heres to Hoping!😁

As Promised here are the Final steps I take in making Metal Dice! 😎(refer to the previous post for Pictures of the first few steps) I hope everyone is staying SAFE! out there!😷 I plan on getting some more crafting done this week so I may be able to post something here in a few days of what I'm working on! I wanted to post something, so here are a few pics of the first few steps I take to craft metal dice! I'm still attempting to come up with new ideas & progress my skills as well as having to look for other temporary income sources. So once a week posting seems about all I can Manage right now until I can get back to just crafting😎. So please bear with me! Thanks for all your ongoing support & interest! Stay tuned for the final steps & possibly a clip or two that I'm attempting to edit! *no guarantees how soon the clip(s) will be posted ( i usually take a long time to edit things) lol*
Things still seem to be crazy out there.. ( & more & more people are not wearing a mask 😟!) STAY safe out there! A virus doesn't stop because u can't see it nor anyone affected by it! Wear a mask in public & execute common sense & we all will turn out fine!😁

I haven't posted in a while☹️ because I had to re-evaluate my situation during this ongoing pandemic, seek rental assistance, & hunt for odd jobs for income.😴 (I'd so just rather craft.) So needless to say, it has been stressful. However I am trying to come up with new things to craft, developing my skills further, & possibly teaching Blacksmithing😯 as well as other opportunities later in the year! (I will post more on the teaching prospects when I have more details)
I hope everyone is doing well & staying safe during these troubled times! 😷My posting will not be as frequent as before but, I will try my best to post more Now that I have more going for me currently.
Hey check out what I whittled out of foam wood! (good medium for light sculptures or just practicing whittle techniques) Each head took over 3hrs to sculpt. So sadly not efficient enough for me to market them.. Yet. lol, I will continue to hone & refine my ability. Perhaps I can make sculptures available soon.. No promises! 😅*
I also made this table for myself so I could have a sturdier Desk to work on. 😁

Finishing up preperations for my camping adventure on the River!😁(made 2 rod holders(one from a broken boat rod holder i fished out of the lake with my bait net 🤣(salvaging at its finest)))(also made my own slip bobbers & a few more hand forged hooks) I will be specificly on the prowl for Alligator Gar, espessially that ~6ft one I spotted around the locations I will be stopping at along the river😎! Hopefully i can cature some good fishing footage with the phone camera tripod i created out of 3 broken pieces(tripod w/out mounting head, damaged mic arm missing mic & clamp, & a crapy selfie stick that snapped in half from what i beleive was the wind😆) I will be on the Colorado River sometime early tomorrow morning!!😍

I will be tagging any Alligator Gar's, other gar species ~4ft or longer, & any exceptionally sized fish. After taking their measurements & placing the tag(s) I will be releasing them😊! I do this in hopes I can help broaden our understanding of the Alligator Gar & other fish😎.

For those who would like to know more about the Alligator Gar here are some fun facts;
The Alligator Gar gets its name from its head which largely reswmbles an Alligators(they tend to often be seen swimming along the top of the waters surface content to appear as a log to creap on prey),
This Gar species is very shy of Humans & contrary to some accounts they do not attack children however have been seen sometimes eating turtles, birds, & other small animals foolish enough to linger near their jaws,
The female of this species requires 11+ years to mature enough to be able to breed,
This gar species is becoming endanger due to the lose of their habitat, over fishing, & being killed either being comsidered a threat to the fish populations or humans.

Been so into fishing latley & not to mention seeing the Monser Gars (went last night to see if i could get better visual of monster seen night before. To my suprise i saw a bunch of gar mostly needlenose that could identify but a garenteed Alligator gar roughly 6ft after better visual but still undtermined till I catch the brute😉 & a ~4.5ft gar full body jumped out infront of me, surreal photo like moment in my brain)

Now I am preparing to catch the beast with some Hand-Forged Steel Hooks!! Made first rough model just now for what I beleive the gar were feeding on last night🤗😎!
If these hooks land fish I will be attempting to make them avalible for purchase through my online store!

Went fishing again late last night, alone on the river, Misty & dark. Very peacful & a nice haul.!😎👍
A lot of activity on the River last night. Even saw a Huge Alligator Gar! Couldn't get photo let alone a light on the sucker before he submerged but at least 5ft!!🤯 (I have found my River monster, Now to try & catch him!)

Dentist appointment for check-up canceled so I can finish up some products like Forged Steel Dice, & bottle openers down in the Forge today or at least prepare batches to finish up tomorrow 😉.

Remember to Stay Safe, Healthy, & Positive. Social distancing should be advised with continuous rise in confirmed cases! No worry's for my antisocial self lol😆

Well, our village has been shut down to the general public, only allowing residents & workers to use the community market cutting down my sales tremendously. (Got to stay healthy!😁) There is a working plan that may give me a guaranteed weekly income. It won't be too much but, anything is better than nothing!👌😉(I believe it's very important to stay positive in these times!😎👍)

While I've been awaiting a more definite response on what to craft for income, I have been & am taking the time to go Really Learn the Colorado river here!😊😎👍
I have spent over 36hrs fishing the past week!!! 🤩 Gotta put in that time to really understand it all. Its also absolutely peaceful out of the river at night too really allowing me to relax.
Here are some of the fish I've caught this past week in the River!😎😁 (5 Large Channel Catfish(& 1 small released), a Needle Nose Gar released, A lot of White Bass(small ones had a tendency to swallow hook too far with my rig setup meant for bigger fish so that after removal they could not recover & died. I kept these & released all others)
(about 5 kept 6 released), & some Striped Bass 2 good sizers kept & one released)(Almost all caught 6pm-3am)
Sadly as I was wet 7 most catches were at night I apologize that some pictures are blurry & some fish I didn't get a picture of if released.

Sorry for not posting for a while! 🙁My depression has been kicking me down the past week not to mention tooth pain 😫 finally got the problem teeth pulled a few days ago.😁

I wasn't able to get pictures of the competition myself as I had planned sadly but here are a few below! 🤩
Thanks to all who showed Up & helped prepare/cater/etc for & during the event😎👌! I hope you enjoyed the Event!!🥳(I'll look into getting some good pictures of some of the other created things!)

I also went fishing on the colorado river at night (9pm-2:30am) to relax & hopefully assist in picking me up out of this depressional slump. I say I feel a lot better! & I hope to get right back to crafting starting Monday!😎 I also added a few pictures of the fish I caught last night 😉 (Nice size catfish, & a 2' 8-10'' needle nose gar (released because it hasn't matured enough to breed yet(3ft & 2 years), I also caught 2 baby striped bass & a nice sized keeper)
Also have a few product ideas that are brewing now 😉😆!
(had to re-add some photos because having internet issues, as well as a silly Windows update while I was posting...)
