A beautiful wedding today at one of our favorite venues. It’s a working museum, so it’s a very fast setup. We have a tried and true method down to get these branch installations from the studio to the venue. Do not attempt unless you have an oversized cargo van or a dad who will back the trailer up for you bc you’re good at a lot of things, but really, really not good at backing up a trailer. Great working today with Christine, Wedding & Event Florist | PA, NJ & DE, and Susan Yearick.

June Wedding | Hotel du Village | New Hope, PA

A long table in blush and green with hydrangea and viburnum in low white bowls, pink tapers in brass running the length of it, stained glass table numbers at each place. The bouquet carried the same palette with more line in it, lisianthus, bells of Ireland, and amaranthus trailing off the ribbon. In the foyer, delphinium and baptisia from the farm reached out of a single urn above a flock of paper swans holding every guest's name.

Before a design goes out, I’m always checking 3-D balance, form, color, and movement. If you have a solid plan for your design and mechanics, you can use much more of your design bandwidth working with the natural variation in florals to highlight their best form.

Personal flowers for a summer wedding at Hotel du Village. Bells of Ireland and mini green hydrangea build the structure, with tonal ruffled roses settled low in the heart. Green amaranthus trails long off the stem line and moves when the bouquet does.

Blush, peach, cream, and green held in near equal measure, so no single flower dominates and the composition stays in balance from every side.

I loved working with the architecture and landscape at The Inn At Fox Briar Farm yesterday to enhance this gorgeous space for Brie Goodreau. We added dramatic greenery to the beams and chandelier and pulled it down to the tables to connect the stunning soaring beams with the intimate dinner tables. We gave the summer sunset color palette a little rocker edge with some deep, seasonal dark tones and moody black candles. Scroll to the end to see my daughter who is learning that women can absolutely found established, revenue positive businesses, and her mom’s photo exasperation of hooking up a trailer after an epic day to get that huge ladder back to the studio 😂 Not shown - my amazing husband who makes this all possible and was hanging greenery with me before the team arrived to set the tables.
