This 24 x 30 in Acrylic, Framed Painting, is of a Bristlecone Pine tree in the Mount Goliath Natural area below Mt. Blue Sky. The Bristlecone Pines are the oldest trees on earth! This grove was here since the Roman Empire, being some 1,500 years old at 11,500 ft. in elevation. Unfortunately, this tree was killed by a lightning strike. Even in its death this tree creates the food and shelter for more life with the emerging fireweed!
