With exclusive products, free design consultations & expert installation, we make it easy to elevate your space in Arizona and Las Vegas. For more than a decade, Southwest Blinds & Shutters has been a leading provider of custom window coverings in Gilbert, Arizona. Founded in 2002 by James and Jamie Hutchings, our shutter company has grown largely in part to their total commitment to the customer experience. Southwest Blinds & Shutters has completed thousands of residential and commercial window covering projects. We have hand-selected our Arizona shutters exclusively for the Phoenix area. We understand that our harsh desert climate dictates a different approach to window fashions. As a result, our product line is designed with desert-specific components and materials that ensure a longer lasting, better-performing window covering that is more resistant to the harsh Arizona sun. Our Phoenix shutters and plantation shutters are the best in the business. We offer the widest selection of quality Phoenix shutters and blinds including brands such as Norman Shutters, Graber Blinds, Alta Window Fashions, and more. Each line features a unique variety of options, color choices, fabrics, and styles. We also offer a full line of custom Phoenix shutters and Arizona blinds manufactured right here in the Phoenix facility. Our team specializes in the following:

Shutters never go out of style, but are you choosing the right ones for your home?

With so many styles available, each comes with its own strengths. Wood and plantation shutters bring timeless elegance and real home value. Faux wood and composite shutters are built to handle desert heat without cracking, fading, or warping. And for tricky spaces like sliding doors or arched windows, custom door and poly shutters get the job done right.

Don't settle for shutters that weren't built for the desert. Southwest Blinds & Shutters proudly serves the greater Phoenix area and the Las Vegas Valley.

Standard window treatments just aren't built very well. So we decided to completely redesign them.

TJ breaks down what makes Southwest Blinds & Shutters different: re-engineered motorized tracks built to be incredibly quiet, shade cassettes that block light even in uneven windows, and heavy-duty features added so everything actually lasts longer.

No one else goes to these lengths. That's just how we roll.

Don't settle for standard, out-of-the-box window treatments. Southwest Blinds & Shutters proudly serves Scottsdale, the greater Phoenix area, and the Las Vegas Valley.

Beautiful windows can fill your home with natural light—but they can also bring intense afternoon glare and unwanted heat.

Motorized shades make it easier to manage both without compromising your home’s design. Depending on the room and your priorities, you might choose:

Blackout cellular shades to insulate rooms and reflect desert heat
Motorized roller shades for streamlined style and flexible light control
Dual roller shades to transition from filtered daytime light to nighttime privacy
Battery-powered shades for clean installation without new wiring
Lutron smart shades to coordinate your window treatments and lighting throughout the home
Whether you’re covering a west-facing bedroom, a media room or an entire wall of glass, the right system can create a cooler, more comfortable and effortlessly functional space.

We get asked this a lot: what actually makes Southwest Blinds & Shutters different from other window treatment companies?

Since 2002, we've built a custom-curated product line designed specifically for the desert. Every shade, shutter, and blind we offer is engineered to withstand real Arizona and Las Vegas Valley heat, not just look good the day it's installed.

Don't settle for products that weren't built for where you live.

Want your window treatments to make a statement?

Janet is walking us through Roman Shades, a beautiful option that combines the tailored elegance of draperies with the compact, practical functionality of shades.

What really sets them apart is the dimension they add to a window, bringing added warmth and aesthetic appeal to any space.

Don't settle for ordinary window treatments. We'll show you the best way to treat your windows.

As long as you own your home, we own the problem.

TJ explains what makes our Everything's Covered Guarantee different: a true lifetime warranty covering normal wear and tear, fading, mechanical issues, and motor failures for life. No other company offers protection like this.

We can back this promise because our products are engineered to a higher standard, built specifically to withstand the intensity of desert heat.

Don't settle for less protection. Book a consultation and see the difference.
