Who doesn't love to look into the crystal mysteries of geodes? We never outgrow it. What would happen if you could do it every day? And what if doing so is rewarded with practical purpose? That's what SLABlite is all about. We delight at the beauty within. Backlighting has become very popular. Until recently, in order to do that, you had to build a light box. If you were trying to backlight a countertop, the lightbox meant that 1) you would lose a minimum of 4" of storage space and 2) you would see hot spots and dark spots throughout where the supports for the lights sat. 3) You couldn't light around sinks. 4) You couldn't light edges. 5) It wasn't waterproof. 6) You had to change bulbs. SLABlite ended all of that. No lightboxes need to be built. You simply lay out waterproof 1/8" thick LED light cells, cut to shape, seal where you cut, lay the cells on the same surface you would lay your translucent slab, place the slab on top and turn on the lights. What you have is an evenly lit piece of art, lit from edge to edge, in any shape you need. Imagine your family sitting around your countertop exploring the beautiful crystaline shapes that are hidden when the lights aren't on, but revealed when the lights make them glow. We can't begin to describe the "Wow!" factor when you walk into a room illuminated by SLABlites. Use SLABlites for your bars, countertops, around your fireplaces, in your showers. You are only limited to the scope of your imagination. In the coming weeks and months, we will explore the different uses we have found, have contests to find new and ingenious uses you can imagine, share some interesting things and have a good time just releasing the child in all of us.
