Heading to NJSBA? Come say hi at booth 534! 👋

A classroom refresh? A media center makeover? A brand-new space with lots of possibilities? We love helping schools turn “what if” into spaces where students can learn, create, and connect through thoughtful furniture and design.

Stop by, meet the SSDS team, and tell us what’s on your school’s wish list!

A fresh new place to read, work, gather, or simply settle in 📚✨

We recently furnished the beautiful rotunda at Summit Free Public Library with flexible lounge seating and integrated work surfaces, creating options for both quiet focus and casual connection.

And can we take a moment for all that natural light? ☀️

“Let’s hear it for the storytellers, the changemakers and the action takers.” ✨

One of our favorite installs from this summer! Flexibility was at the heart of this middle school media center, with furniture that allows the space to be easily reconfigured for learning, collaboration and everything in between.

From soft seating and high-top tables to traditional work surfaces, every element supports the curriculum while giving students and faculty the freedom to reimagine how they use the space. And, of course, we made sure to incorporate plenty of school spirit!

school is back in session ✏️📚👩🏼‍🏫

15 classrooms, but no copy + paste over here.

this summer, SSDS furnished brand-new Pre-K additions spanning three schools within one district.

Working with the design and finishes by B | W | S Architects , we gave each classroom its own upholstery palette—complementing the flooring and adding a little personality to every room.

Big learning begins when children feel safe, supported, and ready to engage. 🌈

Furnished entirely with VS America , this PreK sensory room offers flexible ways to move, reset, explore, and connect—nurturing the self-regulation skills young learners need to thrive!

The final bell of the school year is more than the end of a chapter—it’s a celebration of growth, achievement, and possibility!

We’re honored to share Dr. James Pedersen’s reflections on the importance of investing in students and creating places where they can learn, connect, and succeed.

Congratulations to all students, teachers, and families on a year of hard work and perseverance. Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and well-deserved summer break. ☀️📚
