The ports of NY/NJ were closed today for Election Day. So we took advantage of the closure and had a safety day with our New Jersey drivers. It was a great afternoon of talking safety and getting ready for the future.

More good economic news out of our southern location in Savannah,GA.

Jan. 14, 2025 – The Georgia Ports Authority recently purchased more than 13 acres surrounding the north and west sides of the Slip 3 water inlet on Hutchison Island west of the Savannah Convention Center.

The acquisition of the site, used by the previous owner as a barge depot, is a part of the GPA’s plan to expand its cargo terminal operations onto the island, according to Chief Administrative Officer James McCurry.

ERL was the high bidder for the Mack Electric toy truck on the Bill Keeler show WIBX. We then ran a contest to find a family in need and today we had the priviledge to deliver the toy truck to the family in Oriskany NY with our own big Mack Truck and Santa and Buddy the elf even found time to tag along. Thanks to Utica Mack Inc. And Matt Rose for making this happen today.

Thank you to everyone who helped us unload the truck this morning! All these cases of water will go to Rome residents and first responders. We couldn’t have done any of this without you! We love the business we’re in and at times things do get crazy. There is nothing easy about dealing with ports and containers and big ships that sail from all over the world. But today’s events makes you stop and realize how fragile we are in this thing called life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected by today’s bridge collapse and I hope we can find out what happened and prevent another tragedy like this from ever happening again.
