Two at a Time Design was inspired by and named after our twin girls, who arrived after a long struggle with infertility. The business part has evolved over time and I love that part too. I love working with clients to create the perfect sign, the perfect gift, the perfect memory. And being able to work from home doing what I love is a dream come true. In March I found out I was being laid off in June. At that point, I stopped creating.

Maybe because I was spending my time looking for a new job but also because…I just didn’t feel like it.

Yesterday I finally wanted to make something just because. So I made this doorhanger. For me. Because Ive wanted to make an animal print themed one forever and it felt like now was the perfect time.

I even made the bow without watching a bunch of YouTube videos. (Though looking at this pic, maybe I should’ve watched at least one 😳)

But…it was nice to craft again. ❤️

MONDAY UPDATE:
Posting my cluttered craft desk of unfinished projects was the motivation i needed to get some things done during my 3 day weekend. Pictured are:

No-sew stuffed bunny
Wood carrots made from door shims
Valentine sign made with painted wood buttons
A crocheted mug cozy (with bow)
A crocheted cup cozy (that kinda looks like a bow)
“I love you, drive safe!” car mirror decals (by request)

More bunnies are being prepped, along with a more wood carrots (in orange), and a Valentine themed cozy.

Now I should probably spend tonight finishing the laundry i ignored all weekend because crafting was the priority…😂

The current state of my craft desk 👀

I wanted to make some different things for Valentine’s and Easter so I thought I’d engrave some jewelry. But then I saw a cute no-sew bunny I had all the supplies for. And then I remembered I had some vinyl stickers that needed made. Although… it’s cold right now so i really want to crochet. But I kinda miss the wood stuff so I’ll make a carrot out of shims real quick. But that reminds me, I never painted these wood buttons…

Lots started. None finished. But a long weekend is ahead so I’ve got 3 days to get this sorted - and at least a couple projects completed!
