I have been quilting for over 25 years and will provide personal service to help you with all your quilting projects. A little about Fiddlesticks: We are a full service quilt shop with lots of beautiful & fun fabrics (and hand-dyed wool). We we're featured as a Top Ten Shop in the Spring 2015 issue of "Quilt Sampler". We carry high-quality quilting & piecing thread as well as the most useful notions that I've discovered over the years. We also carry a good selection of current books and lots of fun patterns. We offer classes from wonderful teachers in our comfortable & well lit classroom. I also perform long-arm services on my trusty Gammill. Cheran Bee

PSA: There is an awful cold or something going around. I started feeling “off” Monday morning and by 4:00pm felt terrible. Completely unable to work until today.

What that means. Working BOM handout today, will email to the shop and post here as soon as I can.

This week, Thursday thru Saturday is the Clark county Quilt show! It’s ALWAYS a great show, tons of quilts, amazing artestry, and it’s a fun day out!

We’re not vending at the show this year, unfortunately, but to add to the fun and excitement of the show, come see us at the shop and tell us your favorite thing about the show or your favorite quilt and you’ll receive 20% off your entire purchase. Who’s going to QuiltFest Northwest? The Clark County Quilt Guild ALWAYS puts on an amazing show, and this one is sure to be special! It’s the shows 50th anniversary and they will have over 500 quilts hanging!
It starts today and goes thru Saturday!

We had a great turnout for our underappreciated bolt/crayon challenge, almost 50 entries, a room full of amazing quilts, hundreds of viewers choice votes were submitted and at the end of the day, we had three winners. (And three honorable mentions!)

First place: Peggi Crawford ($100 GC)

Second place: Elaine Byrum ($50 GC)

Third place: Trina Belisle ($25 GC)

Entrants were given a choice of one of three fabrics, (the underappreciated bolt) and then had to make a blind choice of a crayon color. They were then required to use at lease a small identifiable piece of the underappreciated fabric and a piece of fabric the color of the crayon they drew in their quilt. The only rules were that it had to be quilted and it had to be less than 40” per side.

It’s short notice, but we’ve got a couple spots open in our Beginning Quilting class starting next weekend.

4 sessions, starting Sunday Sept 20, 12:00-4:30. $99.00 + tax for all for classes. Sept, 20, Sept 27, Oct 4, Oct 11.

The quilt is a Great Wall quilt, table topper or baby quilt, and you’ll be choosing your own colors. This quilt is designed to teach you how to piece many commonly used quilt blocks and piecing methods often found in patterns, plus many tips and tricks along the way.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR SHOP HOPPERS!

Just a quick reminder that Mother Nature laughs when we make plans! Our Shop Hop Fabric for the Spools and Stitches Shop hop just arrived at all the shops, so the start date has been changed to SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH!

Unfortunately the lovely Poppie Cotton fabric was delayed by a Typhoon and there was nothing any of us could do. Poppie Cotton deserves a huge round of applause for getting the fabric delivered to all the shops in one day!

Here are some tips to make your shop hop more fun and less stressful!
* Bring a friend (or more than one). Shop hop adventures are always more fun with friends!
* Bring a pattern you've been wanting to make and keep an eye out for the perfect fabric!
* Know that every shop is doing the absolute best they can to host a wonderful shop hop experience with 1 - 2 days to prep!
* Hydrate! Bring snacks for the road!
* Bring address labels for in-store drawings.
* Smile and have FUN
