There’s something special about fall gardens — the quiet shift in the air, the warm tones, the way the season invites you to slow down and notice the small things. Woodland silhouettes like owls, woodpeckers, and mushrooms add to that feeling. They bring a sense of calm, curiosity, and natural charm that makes your garden feel alive.

Place a small woodland piece where you’ll see it every day — on a tree trunk, tucked into a planter, or perched on a fence post. It’s a simple way to bring a little magic into your outdoor space this season.

Some of our most magical pieces are the ones that quietly blend into the garden — until fall arrives and they suddenly shine. This week’s hidden gem is our Screech Owl Tab, a small silhouette with big woodland charm.

Mount it on a tree trunk or shed wall and let the warm rusted patina blend naturally with autumn leaves. It’s the perfect way to bring a touch of wildlife into your fall decor.

Fall is one of our favorite seasons because of the textures — bark, moss, straw, stone, and pumpkins all bring out the warmth in our silhouettes. We love seeing how you style these pieces in your gardens and porches, creating cozy autumn moments that feel personal and handmade.

Thank you for supporting our art and for bringing Rusty Birds into your fall traditions.

Garden Tip of the Week: If you want your silhouettes to stand out, pair them with contrasting textures. Smooth pumpkins make patina pop. Rough bark adds depth. Moss softens the scene. Straw brings rustic warmth.

Choose two or three textures and place your silhouette where the materials meet — it creates a focal point that feels intentional and beautifully seasonal.

Product Spotlight: Fall textures aren’t just about natural materials — hardscapes play a huge role too. Our Barn Owl looks incredible against stone, brick, and weathered metal. The warm patina stands out beautifully when paired with cool, solid textures.

Try placing it near a stone planter, brick wall, or metal trellis to create a striking contrast that feels modern, seasonal, and full of character. It’s a simple way to elevate your fall décor using the textures already in your garden.
