A lot of installers have come to our shop over the last year or so with this problem. The stair nosing that they are getting elsewhere has a painted "edge dressing" that peels off, scuffs off and wears off super fast, sometimes even before the installation is complete. If you are having this issue, give us a call. The engineered hardwood, laminate and hybrid flooring stair nose that we make have an "edge protecting" substance rather than "edge dressing" that stands up to rigorous abuse without chipping or peeling or scuffing off. Cusrtom Made Engineered Hardwood Vent Covers

These are the latest set of engineered hardwood vent covers going out the door today. Two are 4 x 10. Two are 4 x 12. One is 4 x 14. Homeowners love them. Installers make good money installing them. And I'm told that we provide them for dramatically less than the competition. :-)

Somewhere between a utilitarian flight of stairs and a grand staircase exist an affordable and attractive alternative. That is where you find us. We made these noses (including the side pieces) for this homeowner from some regular, off the shelf LVP and then she called in a contractor to install them. Dramatically more appealing than carpet. Dramatically less expensive than real hardwood. Once the spindles for the rail get installed it will be beautiful.

If you work in the field of hard surface stair installation you probably know that fabricating the edge piece (when they are needed) is a labor intensive and time consuming task. For a small fee we can prefab them in our shop for you. Get in, get done, get paid and get out. No one wants to spend eternity fabricating the tails on site. You probably have better ways to spend your time and the time that you pay your people for. :-)
