A Southern Antiques Affair 2025, Vicksburg MS

We had a fabulous time yesterday at A Southern Antiques Affair here in Vicksburg MS. It was a very full day but a day filled with discovery, information, beautiful antiques and homes and a lot of new friendships. We started our day at The Duff Green Mansion with mimosas and a few nibbles, heard a great presentation on silver from Monroe antique dealer, Garrett Watley, rode the trolley to take a tour of Balfour House, then back to Duff Green for a delicious lunch. After lunch we enjoyed a presentation on the current state of affairs concering antique furnishings by Richard Branyan, Natchez antique conservator, restorer and dealer. Our guests enjoyed having some of their heirlooms appraised by our experts before we went for wine and cheese along with a tour of the newly refurbished, Baer House Inn. I think we were all tired at the end of our busy day but as one guest said, “It was a good kind of tired.”

Thank you to Duff Green Mansion, Harley Caldwell and her staff, Shelley Tingle, Balfour House and its owners Chris Smith and John Schaumburg for opening your private residence, LaTonya Brown and her staff at the beautiful Baer House Inn, our speakers Richard Branyan and Garrett Watley and everyone that attended this year’s A Southern Antiques Affair. We hope to see you all again.
