It was never just about the oil. 🤍

It was about the One who anoints.

Every bottle, every detail, every moment of preparation for our Anointing Oil Workshop was created with intention and prayer.

Because sometimes God takes the very gifts He places in our hands and uses them to create opportunities to minister to the hearts of others.

What began as a small business continues to remind me that purpose is so much greater than a product.

The oil itself isn’t where the power lies. It’s a beautiful reminder to seek the presence of God, surrender to His will, and allow Him to do the work only He can do.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned on this journey, it’s that when we give God what we have, He can use it in ways we never imagined.

HER NEXT CHAPTER. 🤍

Yesterday, I attended our church’s women’s conference, and WOW… what a WORD!

One thing that stayed with me is that sometimes we have to surrender the very things we’ve been holding on to—the dreams, the expectations, the plans, and even the pain—so God can lead us into what He has truly called us to.

I know what it’s like to walk through a chapter filled with grief. To find yourself in a place of pain you never imagined you’d have to navigate. To wonder how life could ever look beautiful again.

But I also know what happens when you surrender that brokenness to Jesus.

He doesn’t erase the story. He redeems it. 🤍

Yesterday, we were reminded of the woman at the well in John 4. After encountering Jesus, she left her water jar behind.

And that spoke to me so deeply.

Because how many of us are still carrying things from chapters God has already brought us through?

The hurt. The rejection. The disappointments. The grief. The expectations of what we thought life was supposed to look like.

That water jar can remind us of the things we keep carrying, even when Jesus is inviting us into something new.

You can remember what happened without remaining bound to it.

I will always carry love for the people I’ve lost. But I don’t have to allow the pain of those losses to define every chapter that follows.

God has taken places of deep sorrow in my life and brought forth beauty, purpose, and blessings I never could have imagined.

And He’s still writing. 🥹

So to the woman who is standing at the edge of her next chapter…

Leave the jar. Take the lesson. Walk in your freedom.

Your story isn’t over. And your next chapter doesn’t have to look anything like your last.

Sometimes the waiting can make you question everything.

Did I hear God right?
Am I going in the right direction?
Why hasn’t it happened yet?

But just because you can’t see movement doesn’t mean God isn’t moving. 🤍

Some things are being prepared in places you cannot see. Some doors need time. Some connections haven’t happened yet. And sometimes God is doing just as much in us during the waiting as He is doing around us.

So if you’re in a season where you’ve been praying, working, believing—and still waiting—don’t let the silence convince you that nothing is happening.

Keep showing up.
Keep planting.
Keep trusting.

Don’t mistake the waiting for God not working. ✨

His timing has never needed our understanding to still be good.

She shined bright again. ✨

Yesterday, the Sweet Myla Fragrance Bar made her debut at White Horse Winery—and even a little rain couldn’t dim her shine. 🤍

So many of you stopped by, created your own fragrances, laughed with us, asked questions, and experienced the bar for the very first time.

And I think that may be my favorite part of bringing her out.

But when you actually experience the Fragrance Bar… you get it. ✨

Watching someone smell their creation, make that “ohhh, I LOVE this” face, and walk away with a fragrance they created themselves never gets old.

Sometimes we’re so focused on what’s next that we forget to look around and thank God for what’s here. 🤍

The ordinary mornings. The busy days. Dinner with the people we love. Work to do. A home to come back to. Another day we were blessed to wake up and live.

There was a time when some of the things that feel “normal” today were things we prayed for.

So today, I’m choosing gratitude for the ordinary. Because maybe the ordinary isn’t ordinary at all. Maybe it’s answered prayer we’ve simply gotten used to. 🤍

Six years ago today, I lost my daddy. 🤍 I miss him terribly.

And today felt like the right time to share a little more of my story.

I’ve shared pieces of the story behind Sweet Myla before, but I don’t think I’ve ever shared it quite like this—the grief, the faith, the unexpected beginning, and what God has continued to teach me through it all.

Sweet Myla didn’t erase my grief. It didn’t replace the people I’ve lost. But somewhere along the way, this little candle business became a reminder that a painful chapter doesn’t have to be the final chapter.

There can still be beauty.
There can still be joy.
There can still be new beginnings.

And God can still write something new.
