❤️ Back in 2022, Mom and I had our first trip to the Smithfield Spring Vintage Market.
I remember us waking up at the crack of dawn 😳 and making the hour drive just for us to get the early admission to the market. I think somehow we still ended up running late 🤦♀️😂
All day long we shopped 🛍️ and walked the entire fairgrounds! I think we even made 2 more quick rounds at the end of the day to see if any of the vendors were having deals on stuff they didn’t feel like packing up and taking back.
I’ll never forget us closing down the market that day…I was literally running like a crazy person back and forth from vendor to vendor taking overflowing cart loads of our new treasures ✨ we had put on hold back to our van. People were laughing, smiling, joking, waving, clapping 👏 and cheering me on as I ran back and forth throughout the entire market field. Every time I would get back to our van my Mom would ask “Did you get more stuff than we actually had on hold?” and every time my answer was “YES!”. Hahaaa 🤣 I guess I just couldn’t help myself!!! (Plus, the vendors were practically giving stuff away…at least that was my justification at the time 😉)
After all the running around, we packed our van to full capacity and then finally collapsed ourselves into the hot, sun baked seats. All of the sudden we just burst out laughing 😆 we knew after a long 10 hour day we were absolutely delirious but it didn’t matter. It was such an amazing time! We couldn’t believe how much fun we had, how many wonderful people we met and how many awesome things we found.
I have to say I love ❤️ that my Mom (even in her 80’s) is ALWAYS up for an adventure! She truly is so much fun to hang out with and is the best friend a kid could have 🥰
