James Alphege Brewer was a prominent British printmaker and artist known for his detailed architectural etchings of famous European cathedrals and landmarks. Working extensively in the early 20th century, he mastered the technique of hand-colored etching, often applying subtle watercolors to the printed plate to create atmospheric depth.

Reims Cathedral, built primarily in the 13th century, held profound symbolic and architectural significance as the traditional site for the coronation of French kings.

This beautiful antique etching of Reims Cathedral is available at Ship's Cat Antiques & Salvage inside Barrett Street Antique Center
