New addition this week.. This mid century 1800s Daguerreotype will be offered at around $200. Local auctions demand a high price. Priced below a sold similar piece. What makes this photograph unique is the case is in great shape and the local photographer that took the photo.

Jesse Harrison Whitehurst (ca. 1820–1875) was a pioneering 19th-century American photographer and entrepreneur. He is celebrated as one of the very first daguerreotypists to establish a major presence in the American South.

The Franchise System: After opening his first studio in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1843, Whitehurst rapidly built what became one of the world's largest chains of daguerreotype galleries. By the early 1850s, he operated major galleries across New York, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Richmond, Lynchburg, and Petersburg. The early Hallmark: Whitehurst photographs are highly collectible and distinct because his studios frequently stamped or embossed "Whitehurst" or "J.H. Whitehurst Galleries" directly into the internal velvet pads or onto the decorative brass mats holding the plate.

Organic non-GMO Plants / Fruits / Vegetables of the week
Updated each week.

You can get regular vegetables anywhere. Here, I try to give you a variety of plants that you won’t find anywhere else.

Black Beauty Zucchini $3.45 each - do well if started before the heat of summer.

Early Fortune Cucumber $3.45 each - Grow Crazy here - high yield

12 packs of Glass Gem Popping Corn - $4.95 - 2 yo seed packs that had 100% germination. Try to keep mesh, squirrels love them until they are about 1 foot tall.

12 packs containing a mix of the following - $9.50

Sweet Basil - takes off so keep cutting back.

Clemson Spineless Okra - Beautiful 6" flowers and pick okra before it reaches 4-5". After that cut and keep the seeds.

Kajari Melon - first year trying. Learn more here.
https://gardenersmag.com/kajari-melon/

White Currant Tomatoes - Previous years yield produced tomatoes that the kids will just sit and eat right off the plant. Cardinals also love them at 6am so you'll need to cover with fabric mesh if kept outside.

Leelanau Sweetglo Watermelon - last year was the first year. The plants grew about 10' long and grew a melon every foot. The watermelon is like no other watermelon you have ever eaten. It is yellow and you'll never want store bought again.

All seeds are non-GMO organic or Open-Pollinated, Pure, Natural, Non-GMO Heirloom Seeds. Like getting seeds from your neighbor of family to plant.

My soil is hand made using a splash of organic fertilizer and organic soil mixed with peat/coco core ( to hold the water) with volcanic perlite and vermiculite for faster root growth. Its all OSHA certified for garden use because my wife will not let me put anything in our bodies that have not passed her research standards.

Pickup is VA Vintage - Virginia Beach.

Capodimonte porcelain is renowned for its exquisite artistry and delicate detailing, originating from the Capodimonte Manufactory founded by King Charles III of Bourbon in Naples, Italy, in 1743. The style is characterized by its intricate sculptural work, often depicting cherubs, flowers, and pastoral scenes with remarkable realism and fine craftsmanship. This tradition of high-quality porcelain artistry has continued through various workshops and manufacturers in Italy, with pieces often bearing the distinctive Capodimonte crown mark.

This clock, with its elaborate floral embellishments and ornate casing, exemplifies the decorative style often associated with Italian porcelain makers inspired by the Capodimonte tradition. Such clocks were popular as decorative items, blending functional timekeeping with artistic expression, and were often produced as mantel or table clocks. The style suggests a mid-20th century to late 20th century production, reflecting a continued appreciation for ornate, handcrafted decorative objects.

Vintage MCM Teak Vintage Angel I. Pazmino embossed leather folding chair with pre-Columbian motifs. $899

Angel I. Pazmino was a prominent Ecuadorian designer and craftsman known for his distinctive furniture, particularly his use of embossed leather and incorporation of indigenous South American motifs. His work often blended traditional techniques with mid-century modern design principles, creating pieces that are highly sought after by collectors. Pazmino's furniture is celebrated for its unique aesthetic and the rich cultural heritage it represents.

This particular chair design, featuring embossed leather with pre-Columbian inspired imagery, is characteristic of Pazmino's output from the mid-20th century. The combination of a functional folding frame with such elaborate decorative elements makes these pieces both artistic statements and practical furniture. They are often associated with the "Muebles De Estilo" brand, which Pazmino was linked to, and represent a significant contribution to Latin American design.

I estimate this Angel I. Pazmino embossed leather folding chair in this condition to be valued between $1,000-$1,500 USD.
