Since the first block of beginner sewing classes sold out quickly, why not offer a second class on the same days? I mean the irons will already be out and that’s the really hard part isn’t it?

This two week Beginner Sewing with Sami Newton will be a fantastic class. And not only that it will culminate in a full on apron that you can wear through the upcoming cooking and baking season.

Or wear it whenever . It can be as cool as you want.

Same days, October 25 and November 1, just later in the day from 3 to 6 PM. Check out the website for more info on what you need to bring (like a working sewing machine). This class is open to both new sewists and those getting back into it and would love a little guidance.

If you’ve been thinking about getting your sewing machine out and reacquainting, this might be for you.

Partly to kick off our new fabric department but really because we love living in a handmade community, we are offering a Beginner Sewing series with Sami Newton of Left Hand Stitch Oct 25 and Nov 1 from 11-2pm.

Learn a bunch of basics and make a stylish apron in the process. Careful though- you might not want to stop there 🙂.

The Shetland Wool Annuals are in- and are so beautiful. It would be a cozy fall indeed to enjoy making every one of the patterns - and to be immersed in the stunning photography of the islands.

The fabric selection at Ewetopia is growing 🙂

100% cottons and cotton/linen blends in solids and absolutely captivating prints and florals have started to arrive.

What do you like to make? Making garments to go with your handknits, whether practical and simple or more complex, is another step in slow fashion that we passionately embrace. An excellent way to express (develop? personalize?) your style.

Bags, quilts, home stuff ... a pillowcase takes just a yard or so and is dang satisfying.

We plan to host sewing classes later this fall so if you’re new to sewing, or it’s been a while, stay in touch.

We had a fantastically inspiring weekend at Wisconsin Sheep and Wool, and now the Ewetopia team is busy preparing for New York Sheep and Wool!

Did you know that Ewetopia is woman owned and operated? At our mill we have a strong team of 5 women who run the machines, wash the fiber, fix the machines, and all the jobs in between! 💪
