Rueckheim Ridge Farm
Our family raises a gentle flock of Cormo/Cvm and Corriedale sheep on our family century farm. We are located on a beautiful ridge top overlooking the Kickapoo Valley.
I learned to knit over 20 years ago with the help of my sister and a dear nurse from Canada. Over the last several years I have been drawn to raising beautiful, functional, sustainable fiber, WOOL!
I also enjoy hand spinning and natural dyeing using plant materials from our farm.
We have raw wool, hand spun and mill spun yarn(Ewetopia), and hand knits.

This shop is born from this spinster’s affection for all things wool and fiber arts. After spinning traditional yarns for years, I started Spinster Fiber Co after falling in love with making textured art yarns. I love to support other artisans and farmers by purchasing hand dyed fibers and crafted art batts as well as incorporating wool from my 4 pet sheep.

Do you have wool that you want made into useful soil amending fertilizer? We are back to pelletizing after a short hiatus! We can turn your scrap greasy wool (no alpaca or low lanolin wools please!) into wonderful fertilizer that is high in nitrogen!
