Maturing is realizing I don’t want my house to look brand new.

I want it to look lived in.

I want the old furniture. The handmade quilts. The thrifted picture frames. The wooden furniture with a few scratches. The things that have already existed in someone else’s home for decades and still have decades left in them.

I don’t want to replace everything every few years because the trends changed.

I want to slowly collect things I actually love until my house looks like us, not the home decor aisle at a store.

The older I get, the more I realize a home doesn’t need to look new to be beautiful.

Sometimes the homes with the oldest things in them feel the most like home. 🤎

And another SDSU Jackrabbit fan who we helped with their collection. This summer she met us for two different appointments and ended up adding NINETEEN SDSU yearbooks to her collection! The oldest were from the 1930s!
She shared a photo of their new home in her office at South Dakota State University. 💙💛🐰We love when our collectors share pictures of their treasures in their new homes!

Last week a new customer contacted us asking if they could make a shopping appointment as she and her mom were traveling 🚙from Rapid City to Brookings for Saturday's Jacks football game 🏈. She is now sporting 5️⃣ new buttons she purchased for her collection - and she may be back for more!
