It’s the little things. ❤️

When we moved into this studio over a year ago, one of the things I really wanted was lights in all the front windows. Nothing fancy. Just pretty, welcoming lights that made the studio feel a little more special.

Well… apparently that was a bigger project than I anticipated. 😂

I started with lights I already had. Those didn’t work. Then came the challenge of figuring out how to hang them. I tried just about every possible way to get them to stay up. They fell. I tried again. They fell again.

I’m pretty sure I spent a good 15 hours just trying to get ONE strand of lights up.

And then, when I finally had them where I wanted them, the electrical box we were using had a short.

And just like that, the whole project went to the wayside.

Fast-forward to today.

My team has been busy giving the studio a little refresh, and when they found a banner I had ordered but never found a place for, they decided to hang it in our front window. The same window that had been broken and replaced a while back and had been sitting there looking pretty bare ever since.

Seeing that banner up made the window finally look like it belonged. And it made me want those lights working again!

So here we are. One banner, one strand of lights, and an 18-foot extension cord. 😂

I still need a timer because I’m not quite comfortable leaving them on overnight, and I still don’t have lights in all the windows like I originally imagined.

But I stood outside and took this picture, and it just made me happy.

Sometimes owning a small business means having a hundred ideas in your head and not nearly enough hours in the day to make them all happen.

And sometimes, something as simple as a window finally looking the way you imagined feels like a win. ❤️ Rhonda
