A few months ago, I wasn't planning to get into the mattress business.
For the last couple of years, Steph and I have been running Set the Stage Heart of Texas, staging homes throughout Waco. As part of that business, we've purchased a lot of mattresses directly from the factory in Corsicana.
Over and over again, we'd compare what we paid to what friends, family, and neighbors were paying at traditional mattress stores.
Honestly... it didn't make sense.
Many of the mattresses were coming from the same manufacturer, yet retail prices were hundreds - and sometimes over a thousand dollars - higher after showroom costs, commissions, and marketing were added on.
We kept thinking, "Why can't everyone buy these the way we do?"
So we decided to open our wholesale account to the public.
