My ode to Bad Bunny.

I dyed a special colorway for our 4th Annual Yarn Bowl Party at our store, Tidewater Creations.

During the party I knit up a little Baaaaaad Bunny and started a crochet version.

It was fun!

Mark 3D printed the mini yarn bowl.

The knit pattern is called "Bunny Nuggets" by Rebecca Danger.

The crochet version is called "Bunny Nugget" by Yhsla Jones.

Both patternsare available for free on Ravelry.

After helping ecoprint her lovely denim jacket, I've been inspired to play and prep fabrics, scarves and more for the upcoming harvest and holiday market season. I'll be sewing up project bags and more.

Trust the Process

I'm so excited to be part of this year!

Mark and I set up for the show today. I've been working hard this week in the dye studio dyeingupall the yarns.

I have to admit, my dye mojo has been off this summer. It took months to heal from my ankle break at the end of May. I was told early on to trust the process...and I did. It was hard and there were tantrums.

Now I'm back! My ankle is so much better. My dye mojo is back! I feel like my silly old self is reviving. I actually danced in the dye studio like a crazy banshee. I danced! I dyed a bunch of yarn with pure joy in my heart and can't wait to share it with y'all this weekend.

Bright, vibrant colors are what my eyes crave right now. I'm at home, at peace, when I'm surrounded by a rampant, chaotic mess of prisms and puddles to splash in.

I hope this post brings you some joy today. Take a moment for yourself and take a deep breath in deeply the lovely spring air and let it all go.

Now, get on with the fight for peace, justice, kindness, and decency. It's going to be a long four years.

Well, it's been a while since I've posted here...so here are a few updates.

I just ordered some dye garden seeds from and I'm super excited to add more colors to our natural dyed yarn and eco-printing inventory. It always feels better when our dyes come from our garden or are foraged locally. These wonderful seed producers were featured in recent email. Thank you for keeping us inspired!

On to other events of the day. Since April showers are in full swing, I was inspired to dye rainbows 🌈. It's been a while since I just "played" in the dye studio. It felt good to slow down and try a new to me technique of really controlling color placement. I used one of those ear cleaner/flusher bulbs to slurp up dye and apply it to the yarn. We discovered the bulb a few weeks back when we cleaned out some drawers in the downstairs bathroom. I have no idea how old it is or how long we've had it. It's now part of the dye room tool kit. The yarn will be available at our store and I dyed up several variations. I'll post pics when they are all skeined up and pretty.

I spent some time yesterday relaxing with our beloved Calcite. We had a glorious day of doing nothing after a busy week.
