Elegant Embers My name is Wendy Rush Knudson. Most of you know me as Station Mom, a Volunteer First Responder, and so on. Wether it is my photography or drawing.

As the Phoenix life comes to a close, it bursts into flames until a pile of ash and embers is all that is left. What some may not know is my love of getting to be creative. Tomorrow I’ll be setting up at the Moose Vendor & Street Dance from 12–5, and I’m already preparing my “I totally lifted that box without grunting” face. 💁‍♀️💪

Come enjoy food, music, and more — the kind of “more” that makes small‑town events the best. Great vendors, good eats, live tunes, and me pretending I’m not absolutely going back for seconds at the food table. 🎶🍔🛍️

Thank you to every drenched, wind‑whipped, thunder‑jumping legend who showed up at Waldport Wednesday Market today.

We didn’t just have “a little coastal weather.”
We had full cinematic drama, monsoon rains, sideways wind, lightning that sounded like the sky was frying bacon, and thunder so loud it probably reset a few pacemakers.

Shoppers and vendors were huddled under canopies like we were forming a temporary storm‑survival commune. At one point it felt less like a market and more like a team‑building exercise sponsored by Mother Nature.

And speaking of team‑building…
A special thank‑you to everyone who helped chase down the Great Napkin Escape of 2026.
One perfectly timed gust turned our dispenser into a confetti cannon, and suddenly half the market was sprinting after airborne napkins like we were competing in the Waldport Paper Goods Olympics.
Gold medals all around.

To the shoppers who still browsed, laughed, and supported local vendors, you’re the real MVPs.
To the vendors who held onto their canopies like they were trying not to get yeeted into the next county, absolute heroes.
To the weather… please take a nap.

Wild day, unforgettable crowd.
Same time next week, ideally with fewer lightning sound effects and significantly less napkin aerobics.

This week at Elegant Embers, the journal family has officially arrived! Pocket journals, junk journals, tiny ones, chunky ones, all with their own quirky charm.

They’re made from recycled paper, fabric bits, and whatever fun odds‑and‑ends I can rescue, so no two are ever alike.

And don’t worry, all your regular favorites are still in the booth: towels, totes, windspinners, tumblers, and the usual goodies you hunt for.
Christmas in July kicks off next week, so stay tuned!

🌼🐝 Pollinators Day at the Community Center, and Elegant Embers is all set up outside! 🌼🐝

A little rain isn’t slowing anything down today. Vendors are set up both inside and out, and we’re holding down the outside row, dry, cozy, and right next to the fire district crew. If you know us, you know we come prepared for Oregon weather.

We’ve got all our handmade sublimation pieces ready to brighten up a gray morning: florals, bees, garden‑day favorites, and a few new designs that fit the theme perfectly. The tents are snug, the vibes are good, and the community center is buzzing with people who aren’t letting a drizzle ruin a great day.

Swing by, say hi, check out the vendors, learn something new about pollinators, and support the folks who make this event special. Rain or shine, we’re here and happy to see you.

🌊✨ Waldport Beachcomber Days Festival is HERE, and Elegant Embers is rolling in HOT! ✨🔥

We’ll be set up at the Vendor Fair from 10–4 on Saturday and Sunday, surrounded by an incredible lineup of makers, creators, and small businesses that make this festival such a coastal favorite.

At Elegant Embers, we’re bringing all the handmade sublimation goodness you love,
kitchen towels, tote bags, windspinners, tumblers, keychains, and more.
And yes… the Heatwave Collection will be out and absolutely on fire 🔥
(Not suitable for children, but perfect for adults with a sense of humor.)

Southworth Park will be buzzing with kids’ activities, the parade rolls through on Saturday, and the whole town will be alive with that Beachcomber energy.

All weekend long, you can shop, eat, and play all over Waldport, then swing by our booth and grab something handmade, local, and full of personality.

We’re rolling into a busy stretch with our full lineup of handmade sublimation gifts and souvenirs, fresh designs, local‑inspired pieces, and one‑of‑a‑kind items you won’t find anywhere else.

🌼 Wednesday Market — TOMORROW
The mid‑week magic returns, and we’ll be there with brand‑new sublimation tote bags, tumblers, keychains, coasters, and all the little treasures that make perfect gifts (or “treat‑yourself” moments). Come stroll, snack, and shop local.

🎉 Beachcomber Days Festival — This Weekend
One of Waldport’s biggest celebrations is here, and Elegant Embers is setting up for the full weekend. Expect, local coastal designs, and plenty of handmade goodies to take home as keepsakes from the celebration.

🐝 Pollinators Day at the Joy Garden — June 27th
A beautiful day dedicated to the bees, blooms, and all things that keep our gardens thriving. We’ll be set up with nature‑inspired sublimation pieces, think florals, bees, butterflies, and garden‑day favorites.

Three events, three chances to shop small, support local, and grab something handmade with heart. We can’t wait to see you out there.
