This week’s featured design is my new Old Glory Wreath, handcrafted in celebration of America’s 250th Independence Day. Inspired by classic patriotic banners, this Americana design features a faux stained-glass American flag sign, red and white striped mesh, a royal blue center, a dramatic stars-and-stripes bow, curled and dovetailed ribbon tails, ornament clusters, glittered red, white and blue stars, and variegated ficus greenery woven throughout.

Every detail was thoughtfully placed to create a full, festive design with layers of color, texture, and patriotic charm. It's now available in my Etsy shop, as well as in Facebook Marketplace. (link is in the comments😘)

Today we're celebrating the Stars and Stripes and the freedoms that make this country so special.

It's Workshop Wednesday here at Mama Neff Crafts, and I thought it would be fun to share a behind-the-scenes look at how my Old Glory Wreath came together.

These photos show the project from start to finish—from the completed red and white striped ruffle base, to the royal blue mesh layer, attaching the faux stained-glass flag sign, adding the bow, and finally finishing the design with greenery, ornaments, and patriotic accents. The last photo shows the felt-covered back, which gives the wreath a clean, finished appearance while helping protect your door.

Every wreath I create is built one step at a time, with plenty of planning, adjusting, and attention to detail along the way. Seeing a design come together from a bare frame to a finished piece is one of my favorite parts of the creative process.

Happy Maker Monday!

Today I've been working behind the scenes on my next wreath project — an Old Glory-inspired design that's been taking shape on my design board for quite a while.

The red-and-white striped ruffle bundles are ready, the royal blue ruffles are prepped, and I've started gathering some of the patriotic accents that will help bring everything together. There's still plenty of work ahead, but it's always exciting when a project begins moving from sketches and supply lists into actual hands-on creating.

I thought I'd share a little peek at the preparation process before the wreath itself starts taking shape. ❤️🤍💙
