We Love (Heart) all of our recently refinished oak furniture!! Nick has worked hard to restore this furniture to “first class” condition.

We use the same color of finish on every piece of furniture so that they are compatible with each other.

Nick just finished the restoration of an oak Library Table or more commonly it would be considered a one drawer desk

This Table features the ‘straight line’ Arts and Crafts design. The square shaped drawer pulls are also an A&C Design feature. This table dates to around the 1915 era

‘For the Record’ we like to take photos of our oak furniture outside. Photos taken in the sunlight make the color of the oak pop!

It’s late August and the students have gone back to school… it’s almost Walla Walla Fair and Rodeo time - not to mention Pendleton Roundup time.

Let’s FACE it, Shady Lawn Antiques has the greatest selection of antique oak furniture with FACES on it…

When we look around, it is amazing how many faces were incorporated into Victorian Era (about 1885-1905) furniture design!

Come in and take a close look at the furniture - some of the faces are quite subtle. Some are in your Face (sorry we had to say that)…

Nick finished two pieces and we have moved them into the sales area.

The first is an oak 20 drawer Filing Cabinet. This piece was “rescued” from a work shop/garage. Thus it needed a lot of work to clean and repair it. It is now ready to go into your ‘office’ or crafts room!

The second is an ash highboy dresser. Ash is Oak’s look-alike sibling. This dresser has six drawers - while most dressers of this type only have five.

Shady Lawn no longer makes nor sells ice cream. However we have a great selection of ice cream collectibles and/or display items.

Do you remember eating ice cream with a wooden spoon from a small round individual serving container?

Dave doesn’t remember the “round pyramid shaped” ice cream scoops or the paper lined pewter ice cream sundae holders.

Dave does remember the small square ice cream boxes. They were just the size of an ice cube tray - you could put ice cream in a refrigerator that only had a place for four ice cube trays (and no additional freezer space).
