Proud of this place and its growth since inception.
Here's my first PR stint into a fitness commercial chain branding launched. The owner of the company was the primary judge in the pageant where I was crowned. He made sure I was scheduled for the ribbon cutting ceremony as per my contract with sponsors under my title. I endorsed and helped cut the ribbon at the launching of this place as the crowned Bb' Las Pinas Philippines title holder, Fitness Director and advocate Trainer Spokesperson.

1994, I began working as a health & fitness director. My mom wanted me to be a doctor. I was never allowed out on playdates and entertainment was the "Encyclopedia Britannica". I lived a very boring, strict and overprotective limited life while in Houston.
Raised by an adoptive mother who in fact was raised, provided for and educated by my biological mom. The head matriarch was the backbone who carried the burden of raising a large family belonging to her husband and an army of children.
No easy task. Responsibilities already placed on me before my birth. A lot of stress on any child still innocent to the world. I spent many nights in my room reading books. I rarely spoke. I grabbed every medical pamphlet and bought science related books which was my fascination at the time.
We where required to fill a page worth of vocabulary and its meaning as the normal entertainment. That's how she kept us busy and out of trouble. . . I at the time refused to be a doctor and had to travel overseas. My first event type engagement involved marketing and behind the scenes chatting with lead French culinary chef who talked to the young naive version of myself and introduce food and the fascination behind a quality gourmet meal at a lead luxury fine dinning French restaurant.
It was fun being a playful child exploring the environment and seeing the inner working of building an empire. My mother & grandmother had their own restaurants and both sisters and aunts opened their own at times as well before retiring to take care of their family.
I found myself in a beautiful virgin town known as the City Of Candles for its miracles and the infamous parade of lights. It was there that I discovered a charming resort and proposed converting that place to a gym or fitness retreat. I was barely a teen and so full of vibrant dreams eager to make friends, family and connections.

My grandmother, aunts, mother & father, grandfather survived the great war on recipes meant for healing from the tropical rainforest.
No hospitals during that time and my grandmother & great grandparents fled through the wild and into the heart of the tropical rainforest for refuge hiding in caves. They where feeding people and healing locals with food foraged and used for medicinal healing.
A gift in their lectures every time I helped prepare food in the kitchen. I always thought they only made up fictional stories about its super powers to get me to eat what they made.
I brushed it aside like any naive child and happily ate what was tasty. Years later epigenetic markers and organic nutritional science studies prove what they have always known. That kind of love has no boundaries. The gift that keeps on giving.
