Sanding away to refinish this base. Stain on the top is complete, dark walnut for the win (minus the overhead lighting shadows)!

After sanding a few hours yesterday we are getting closer to staining this table top. The saw cuts are going to look so good once we get the right stain color mixed. Making a round dining table for the Holiday Open House.

Stained! One is aged barrel, one is weathered oak, and the big one is just clear flat top coated. Old rustic wood from an old barn on 198. Stools made for decor purposes. Will be available at the Holiday Open House! 🪵🌲 I left the saw marks 😍

A few projects in the works in the woodshop. I had leftover wood from an old barn on 198 … made some small stools and a larger one. Here are a couple. They will be for decor. The bigger piece will be a round table top for a dining table- coming for Christmas Open House! 😉
Leave natural with matte finish or stain with matte finish?? 🤔

👩🏼‍🎨🎨Our clients wanted to get rid of the red bricks in their fireplace. Their tones of the living room were a mixture of taupes and woods. We warmed up the fireplace with different colors and mixtures. It was such a fun collaboration with Cheryl Kitchen, she helped me paint for a few days as well as help from our secretary, my mom for this project😆. I think we achieved a more modern but warm tone for them.

This heirloom piece was painted before it came to me with an aged gel stain - over off white look. Client wanted it solid and clean looking. It took a lot of sanding as the brush marks were pretty heavy. Check out the new updated brighter look! 👩🏼‍🎨🎨 Love its history, my clients grandparents piece from a small farm in New Bremen. Many years of life left and given back to this piece!

Prepping is the most important step. Also, the dirtiest! I am covered in paint dust from a project I needed to sand down before I can even start. This project was heavily hand painted before I was asked to paint/give a new life to this piece with heavy brush marks. They need sanded out for a nice smooth surface to start with.
