Almost a year to be exact 😅😮‍💨 Did I take the year off from florals? Absolutely not. I’ve had about 25 weddings since last May! I just wasn’t taking anymore bookings!

It takes TIME to figure out what you love and what fills your cup. My favorite part of each wedding I’ve ever made is the BRIDAL BOUQUET!🌸 Sooooo what does that mean? ✨BAD IDEA✨ Wedding Series Pt. 6

NOT LOOKING UP HOW TO GET A MARRIAGE LICENSE WHERE YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED! 😬

Y’all! It’s not a one size fits all when it comes to getting a marriage license (although that would be NICE). We got married out of state and read that there was a 3 day waiting period you had to abide by. The website seemed a little iffy and contradicted itself in more ways than one. Call the courthouse you’re getting your marriage license from and see what all you need to bring, if there’s a waiting period, and how much it’s going to cost!!! You’ll be glad you did. 😉

💍WEDDING PLANNING WEDNESDAY💍

This week we’re talking about what to look for in your WEDDING VENDORS👀
Wedding vendors can make or break your day so it’s important to choose ones that fit you and your vibe.
•
KEY🔑things to look for in Wedding Vendors:
1. At the TOP of the list it is, whether or not they have a contract. Yes, I promise you need one. I’ve heard horror story upon horror story of vendors not showing up or simply taking money. Having a contract shows that they are more responsible and keep them accountable! 📄
2. BUGET! 💰 Do they fit into your budget?? If not, it’s probably time to look at other options. There are PLENTY of amazing vendors out there that are getting started and have lower prices to help fit your needs. Now if they are who you 100% want, find other areas in the budget that you can make a little tighter.
3. Style, do they fit your style? This is especially true with your photographer. If you like light and airy photos but go with someone who usually delivers dark and moody photos, you might not love what you get. Choose according to your style!!!!💕
4. Responsiveness📲 Owning a business is HARD. So I totally get if it takes a few days for them to get back to you but if you’re trying to schedule something and they don’t answer for a few weeks, it’s most definitely time to look elsewhere. That’s too much of a flight risk. 😭
5. But most importantly, trust your gut! Don’t overthink the decision too much. If they meet these basic qualities and your personalities mesh, you’re in for a great day 😉❤️

TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION EVERYONE’S OPINION!!!!❌

Do not, I repeat, do not do this!!! It will 10000000% drain you of all life and sanity in the wedding planning process. Keep your planning circle small, really between you, your future spouse, and your vendors!!

This day is for you and your future boo to celebrate your love, everything you’ve done together, and everything you’re going to do together! So make it what you two want!!!😍

Anyway, your gram gram and auntie probably won’t like me telling you this, but keep everyone out of it 👀🫣 You’ll thank me later. 😘

💍WEDDING PLANNING WEDNESDAY💍

Why opting for wood flowers is a ✨wonderful✨ choice.

Ok I’m SURE you expect this coming from me. But I TRULY believe these are the smarter, easier and more environmentally friendly choice!!!🌸

1. They won’t wilt mid day!!! The last thing you want to do is find water in the afternoon to make sure your flowers are still looking fresh for the ceremony. The heat does wonders to them, but not wood flowers! Hassle free ✅
2. You get to keep them FOREVER! These flowers won’t die in a week, you get to keep your perfectly preserved bouquet as is for the rest of your days. That’s actually the first reason I did them for my own wedding. (Many reasons followed soon after) 🥰
3. They release 6x less, yea, 6X LESS carbon emissions when being shipped! Why??? Because they can be transported by boat rather than plane! Fresh flowers are on a fairly strict timeline of when they’ll be good. Lucky for us, wood flower’s shelf life is pretty much as long as you want it to be!!! The planet says thank you 🌎

There’s MANY more reasons but we’ll leave it at that for today 😉
