I’m not one to typically hop on an internet trend, but this one spoke to me. It was this time of year 5 years ago when I was ready to give up on everything. It was also when things started to fall into place to bring me where I am today. I’m so thankful for everyone who supported me on this scary journey of leaving my corporate career and becoming a full time quilt pattern designer and educator. It’s because of that support that I’m here, I’m contributing in a meaningful way to the world, and I’m happy. It’s a slow and tough road, but I’m looking forward to the next 5 years.

Oh my goodness I am obsessed and in love with your Persimmon fabric collection. I thought the bunnies were going to be my favorite print, the. I started going through each print and I’m in love with every last one.

I pulled these 18 FQs from the bundle to make the sample for my next quilt pattern, Meadow Garden. It was hard to choose any prints to eliminate. I’m going to enjoy cutting these pieces out and putting them back together.

If you’ve been here for a while, you know I’m obsessed with my small town. It is sincerely my happy place. I was so honored when I was approached to be featured in our local town magazine, Warrenton Lifestyle. Since the article released today I’ve received emails and messages from other quilters in town happy to connected with my story and to find more quilters like them in town. My favorite thing about quilting is definitely the community it has brought me over the years. So thank you for being a part of it!

I’ve always been a bit of a maximalist. I like to surround myself with color, texture, and little things that carry nostalgia, warm memories, and make me smile. I’ve filled my quilt studio this little things that make me happy. I love that when visited me they didn’t just photograph my quilts. They captured all the little trinkets that make me uniquely me. So enjoy this very intimate glimpse into my happy place.
