A chimney liner is one of the most important safety and performance components of a fireplace or heating system. It serves several critical functions:

Yearly chimney inspections are so important because your chimney works in harsh environments-high heat, smoke, moisture, and corrosive byproducts.

In this inspection, the current chimney liner was allowing heat and combustion products to escape, which could have lead to heat combustible materials within the home, faster wear and tear on the chimney’s masonry and the possibility of flue gases entering the living spaces within the home.

To fix the issue, we installed a stainless steel liner, stainless steel top plate, a stainless steel cap with animal guard, along with a stainless steal tee body and clean out cap. After the install was complete, we resealed the wall with high temperature furnace cement.
