If there's one thing I've learned from this project, it's that moving 4 tons of pea gravel with a 5-gallon bucket is somehow easier than keeping every little rock exactly where you want it.

So before I officially called this backyard makeover finished, I added one last step with Bed & Border Bond.

✨Dries clear so you keep the natural look of your landscape Helps hold pea gravel, mulch, stone, and other landscape materials in place
✨Water-permeable, so rain and irrigation still soak through instead of pooling
✨Water-based, PFAS-free, no VOCs, and marketed as nontoxic and safe for kids, plants, pets, and wildlife once fully cured

I especially love that it keeps those crisp edges between the pavers, gravel, and grass looking clean instead of ending up all over the walkway and mixed into the grass.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be spending the rest of the summer staring at this little garden corner of my backyard

Nobody told me ChatGPT was an enabler… 🤦🏼‍♀️

I asked for one simple backyard mockup and somehow ended up:
đź’ŞBuilding a second raised garden bed
đź’ŞInstalling edging
đź’ŞLaying w**d barrier
đź’Ş Ordering a DUMP TRUCK full of pea gravel
đź’Ş Carrying it across the backyard one 5-gallon bucket at a time because I refused to buy a wheelbarrow đź’€

Was it the most efficient method? Absolutely not.

Did my lower back file a formal complaint? Yes.

But seeing this little space transformed—and getting to make memories with my tiny helper along the way—made every bucket worth it. 🥹🤍
