Only Filipinos do this - spot another Pinoy halfway around the world and instantly light up with a big ‘Pinoy?!’ 😄
Nakasalubong ko sila kanina dito sa Seattle, at yun na! Warm smiles, thumbs up, and instant connection. Turns out the guys are fellow seafarers - OFWs doing the hard work that keeps our families and our country moving.
In this foreign land, that simple greeting feels like home. That’s kapwa - our deep Filipino soul recognizing its own.
June is Philippine Independence and Heritage Month, and moments like this remind me why we carry our identity with so much pride and joy. No matter where we are, we find each other. Salamat sa inyo, mga kababayan! ❤️🇵🇭

Finally standing in front of a place called ‘Path with Art’ and I’m smiling so big because it feels so right. 🩶

This sign says it helps people create meaning in their lives… and wow, that’s exactly what art has done for me. After years in the corporate world, I took a leap and now every brushstroke, every late-night idea, every brave ‘what if’ has led me here.

If you’re someone who’s still figuring out your own path — especially if you’re starting later than most — just know it’s okay. Art has a beautiful way of meeting you where you are and helping you find your way.

What’s one small step you’ve taken (or want to take) toward something that lights you up? I’d love to hear. 😊

Happy Independence Day, mga kababayan ko! 🇵🇭🌊✨

This mural truly has my whole heart. There I was, brush in hand, side by side with fellow artists and community, pouring our sweat, stories, and hopes onto every inch of the wall - pure bayanihan in living color.

We painted crashing waves of our struggles, our flag standing proud, hands piecing together the puzzle of our future, and faces full of that quiet, unbreakable strength passed down through generations. This is us! resilient, united, rooted in our heritage, yet always moving forward with hope.

As a Filipino artist who left corporate life to follow my soul’s calling, moments like this remind me why I paint. Art carries our shared memories, our pride, and our promise to the next generation.

Today I celebrate not just our freedom, but the everyday bayanihan that keeps our spirit so alive - in our families, barrios, artist tribes, and even across oceans. ❤️

It was truly a beautiful and inspiring experience being part of VOICE OF ART 6: Pause to Begin.
The artworks were powerful, the conversations meaningful, and the entire event felt like a genuine celebration of creativity and connection.

Thank you for creating such a welcoming space for artists and art lovers to come together. I left feeling refreshed and motivated to keep creating.
