Lately, my mind has been swimming in color stories—Color Twist, is now live! 🌈 Unexpected color palettes and a story for each shade carrying its own strange little legacy, like a mood ring for history. Read the full color story on Substack,
Dutch Orange: not just warm, but regal. A revolutionary shade born from the House of Orange-Nassau. But what came first, the color or the fruit? 🍊
Baby Blue: soft and unassuming, but with a twist. Once considered a “boy’s color,” it flipped the gender script in the 1940s and has been quietly rebelling ever since.
Chartreuse: the electric wildcard. My favorite word that lives somewhere between green and yellow and always makes the scene feel just a little more surreal.
Indian Yellow: earthy, sacred, and wrapped in mystery. Legend says it was once made from the urine of cows fed mango leaves (ethically questionable, beautifully golden). Whether fact or myth, it carries the warmth of spice markets and late afternoon sun.
These aren’t just pigments—they’re stories, timelines, emotions.
Which one are you living in today?
