This bathroom moodboard feels like the start of summer to me:) I have so many emotions as we gear up to get back to 'normal'. Cautiously excited is the best I can describe it. How is everyone else feeling??

This little corner of our kitchen makes me so happy! I remember exactly where I was when I bought that pouf in Bahrain, I am still surprised that I painted both of those paintings while taking lessons when we lived in Italy and I am MOST proud that I have kept that Fig Tree alive for over 2 years:) Thank you for capturing it so perfectly.

Evolution of a hood. That could be a good book title:)
We wanted to add more warmth to this kitchen. It started with a basic sketch, our contractor built the frame and cut the boards, then my sweet client stained them herself before he installed them!
I am so happy with the end result! And dont even get me started on that beautiful tile... @ Ventura, California

Want to know a secret? Those are not real beams and the straps are not metal.
My husband had to leave 4 supports when the ceiling was raised, but they weren't pretty. So he made covers for each and connected them with another wood piece that was spray painted black.
Then I added the brass tacks and used 3 different metallic paints with a sponge brush to cover it all up.
What do you think? Did we fool you?

Even as an Interior Designer I forget to pay attention to my own taste and style. It's easy to get caught up in what is trendy at the moment and what other people like. But the truth is...I like what I like ...and you should too:)
I have LOVED this black and white fabric forever. So I decided to make a little moodboard for it and now I want to re- do our bedroom:)

Same room different angle:) Swipe for a reminder of what this room looked like when we bought it in Oct 17!
If you are thinking of making some changes in your home, try taking a photo of the space first. It will give you a different perspective and help you see things more clearly.
When I look at this photo, I see that I want to change the stain color of the coffee table top! I need to get on board with this idea first, since he spent many hours making this table out of an electrical spool when we lived in Bahrain. I love it, but it feels too "orangey" for the space. What do you think? Are you even still reading this😂 @ Ventura, California

Now more than ever we want our home to feel like a big hug. Full of stories and memories like my clients kitchen shelves, filled with pieces from her mothers milk glass collection:)
