Finished oil painting 36in x 36in canvas titled “Glimpse of Africa” this is the painting of my grandma. I captured the reference photo I used for the painting about a year ago. She had a beautiful outfit on displaying her African attire. After I took her picture I was amazed seeing how the image came out. The titled of the artwork came from her outfit. I saw a representation of the African culture, hence glimpse of our heritage.

I present to you my two new pieces, 🇺🇸Barack and 👑 King.

In celebration of black history I thought I should do some historical painting and also something more present as well. I am always intrigued learning about the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and also former President Barack Obama as well. I’ve always admired their Leadership style and their ability to inspire people to believe in themselves.

When I started working on this painting, I knew upfront that I wanted to title the painting "Vessel."

The silhouette of a male figure represents the vessel in the painting. The inspiration behind the artwork is that we are all vessels.

We all have some value to provide to the world we live in. Matter of fact, God sees us as his vessels to pour his blessings and anointing. One instance from the Bible is the example of Mary, mother of Jesus being used as a vessel.
Read Matthew 1:18-25.
Isn’t it interesting how everything within this life always traces back to the creator!
