Old Wood, New Use

Old Wood, New Use Full time RV’rs & Artisans sharing functional live edge wood creations as we travel the USA. I am happy to share my thoughtful, functional creations with you.

I've been working with wood for most of my life and I love creating things for people to enjoy. From bookcases to bottle openers, cutting boards to checker boards, I love making things! I try to utilize local, reclaimed wood when possible but I also use exotic woods and local hardwoods with live edge for variety and contrast. I can custom build many of my pieces to your specifications, please ask!

My wife and I moved to the Pacific Northwest 4 years ago to be near our Grandchildren. In addition to our family time, I also enjoy fly fishing, kayaking, hiking, playing the drums, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Thank you for your interest.

We were so excited to get to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame while traveling in northern Ohio. Lots of our all-time favorite classics are displayed plus SNL! Our only complaint is that there is a lot of reading at each display and the rooms are dark & the print small; not good for us “old” rockers!🤣🤣

On Wednesday we celebrated this girl’s 5th birthday with a new Kong squeaky toy and a peanut butter pup cup! She promptly ripped out the squeaker of course and thoroughly enjoyed the pup cup! Happy birthday to the joy of our lives ( besides our grandkids) who gives us unconditional love!

The rain held off for us to visit Old Fort Niagara, with the castle built in 1726 by the French. The British and USA both taking control with conflicts over the years and now open to visitors to experience what life was like. We had wonderful tour guides, musket shooting and French trade post as part of our tours. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Our first sunset on Lake Ontario did not disappoint. Today we explored Mexico Point State Park and found a short, dog-friendly beach where JoJo had fun romping in the waves. Lots of history here as well, dating back to early 1800’s.
