We couldn’t resist bringing home this beautiful antique wall phone from our awesome neighbors at Central Park Antiques. If you’ve ever walked toward the restroom and felt like you were headed off to make a phone call in 1925… now you know why. 😄

We’re so grateful for the support they’ve shown us since opening, and they’ve sent so many folks our way. If you haven’t visited their shop yet, make a point to stop in—it’s full of gorgeous antique furniture, collectibles, and local treasures.

And for those who noticed the artwork beneath the phone, that’s a drawing of the building back when it was Winga’s Cafe. Fun fact: that famous teal color everyone remembers was on the outside of the building, not inside!

We love celebrating the history of this space and the businesses that came before us. ❤️

Summertime is the best 😎 — a couple of former Mid-Prairie neighbors, Steve Gent and Ed Chabal, reconnected in our store on Steve’s visit back home! Come on in and see us…we ❤️ making new friends, too!

As we paused after a busy day of visiting with people in our store — many of whom were traveling to memorialize loved ones — we noted the new banners are a beautiful way to honor our country’s service men and women. These new banners (Main Street Washington) feature Washington County veterans past and present. They adorn the downtown light poles and will hang through July 4th. 💥 We hope you take time to reflect on what this service means to our country. Thank you , veterans, for your dedication and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

🏀Turn in your bracket at any participating location by March 31st to be entered to win one of two massive downtown gift baskets full of local goodies and gift cards!

We love the creativity and generosity of Mel at Emporium -Washington Iowa!! She came up with a super pairing of Valentines’ fun for our two shops!! Purchase a vintage Valentine from us — they 💯are the best!!😍 — and pop up to her store for a stamped red envelope to mail it and be entered in her drawing for a Valentine gift!!

Ed’s scraped and sanded a couple of tops to a 3-drawer chest and oval table. Last night he applied the finish coat, let it set up and applied the second coat. Come see! 🥰 We think you’ll agree that they’re lovely! ✨
