I’ve no idea how this ludicrous garbage ended up on DON GREER’S FASHION FLOORS page, but take it from a newly retired employee of DON GREER’S, forget these sorts of ridiculous “helpful hints” on how to clean your carpets and fabrics! Nearly every single combo of these ingredients have the potential to ruin your carpet and upholstered furniture.
Forget Woolite and Resolve as well as all of these types of products leave residual ingredients that simply attract and hold new soils!
Do not use powdered carpet cleaners either, especially if you have small children or elderly family members! These powders can enter the lungs and cause mucus to build up around the ingested powder! This can cause illness and even death in someone with pre-existing health conditions!

If you prefer to clean your carpet yourself, BISSELL recently came out with their own SOAP-FREE carpet cleaner to use in their machines.
As I often advised our clients: If you have children, pets (or messy adults!) in you home, it is truly worth it to invest in the light weight floor / carpet machine BISSELL has recently introduced! It resembles a “stick-type” vac, but it fantastic for spills and pet or human accidents! We do, however, still recommend a professional carpet cleaning every 12 to 18 months. This will do a much deeper cleaning and more thorough extraction than a lighter weight machine.

The best means of cleaning non-wool carpets is with a SOAP FREE hot water extraction method. It will leave no residual soap in the carpet, residue which would attract and hold newly introduced soil to your carpet! Don Greer’s Fashion Floors has been cleaning carpets with this method for over 20 + years and Fashion Floors’ customers love it! Try the tile cleaning service as well!

Hello, again. We are having no success in finding someone to fill a part time OR full time sales position.. This is a dream position for anyone who loves remodeling, decorating or just helping people create a peaceful and beautiful home environment.

When I started working at Don Greer’s Fahion Floors, I had ZERO flooring experience. I thought at best, I would at least learn a little about flooring and learn to know how to purchase new flooring for myself. I had no idea I would take my love of home design and decorating and would turn it into a 24 year career!

If you have a passion, as I always have had, for re-designing & decorating; this just may be a Dream Job for you. Better still: this may be your new career!

Someone called recently, requesting an estimate for our 100% DUST FREE HARDWOOD REFINISHING. This person explained to our estimator that a competitor had told them it really isn't dust free, and went on to say, "They hire a maid service to come in and clean when they are finished with the job."
I just want to publicly let everyone know: IT REALLY IS 100% DUST FREE!
We have been providing our 100% Dust Free Refinishing for over 15 years. The two most often heard comments after the job is completed are: "My floors look brand new"!, and "It REALLY IS DUST FREE!"
We could not receive all the referrals we receive, nor all the repeat business, if this were not true.
I would like to invite anyone who has used our refinishing service to give testimony as to the fact that it really is 100% DUST FREE! We'd love to hear from you....and I KNOW you are out there! Thank You!

Earlier today, January 3, 2020, a posting was removed from our site due to the offensive subject matter and language, which was totally inappropriate for this site.
The individual mentioned in the subject matter of the post was a former employee whose employment was terminated over two years ago.
We wish to assure all of our customers and potential customers of Don Greer's Fashion Floors that employees undergo an extensive background check prior to being accepted for employment. If for any reason, an employee does not comply with the standard requirements set forth for employment at any time after employment is acquired, they will be terminated immediately. Such was the case of the former employee mentioned in the removed post.
We apologize for any embarrassment or offense the earlier post may have caused anyone who may have seen / read it.

I take a lot of phone calls from people who purchased hard surface flooring at other stores. The number one reason for the call is they do not know how to care for it. The number one reason for the call is the floor looks streaked / smeared / hazy after cleaning.
My first question is what is the product? The second is: What have you been using to clean it?

Please make sure your sales person tells you how to maintain your flooring product! Hard surface flooring is an investment and is meant to last a lifetime in most cases. How to maintain it is so very important!

We go over maintenance with our clients, AND we provide the appropriate cleaning product for the hard surface flooring they have chosen. We encourage them to call if they forget what we have said.

In closing: Know what flooring product you have purchased, who the manufacturer is and the maintenance required to keep it looking great! If you ever forget how to maintain it, you can hop on the Internet and get that info from the manufacturer....or us!
