Have been busy gathering berries & getting our house winterized. Berries are seasonal, so they took priority over everything else. My berries are very well taken care of, washed nicely in a sanitized kitchen & all ready for the winter jams or for my personal akutaq.

Haven’t really been sewing recently, I still have a few aprons available if anyone is interested. Just let me know & I will show you what’s available. Blackbull Native Store in Anchorage carries my salves.

Sorry haven’t really been sewing the QASPEQ aprons. Have been busy catching up on the outdoor things & my personal alterations. A few more berry picking trips, then I’ll get back into it. One of the alterations I’m doing now.

Our summers are SO SHORT, have to take advantage of it. Go out & explore. Quite a few berries are ready.

Best thing about camping? Nice warm weather & sharing Alaskans! 💙🩵🤍Forever thankful to Rene for sharing MY FIRST TASTE of Sheefish (wow! Biggest part of fish I’ve ever seen besides the kingsalmon) also to Sarah for the most delicious TUNTU w/rice. Kenai salmon was shared by foreigners when we shared their first taste of sheefish also. Cooked the sheefish over campfire (maniaq). Will remember this always. *Prepped leftovers for future meal of either chowder or fried rice.
