Homegrown flower the day post- this picture is sent from the great woods cabin up north! In Deb's beautiful garden, she features many homegrown flowers, including dahlias. This is a perennial; she digs up the bulbs every year and lets them dry out all winter then replants them in the spring. Dahlias come in numerous different colors and sizes! Homegrown flower of the day post -I am eager to nurture my newly acquired eucalyptus plant, which I purchased yesterday from Bypass Farm in Watertown. After bringing it home, I have planted it in its own container. I look forward to incorporating it into flower arrangements. It will require protection during the winter months. I am determined to ensure its survival.

What are the odds that one of my followers is a Wisconsin certified master gardener? Sharing one of her photos today, these are all homegrown flowers right from her garden, made into an unbelievably beautiful arrangement. Leah’s flowers are all homegrown from her flower gardens, a variety of irises, peonies, Columbine, and False Indigo Baptista, which are all perennials.

Thank you for sharing, Teresa. Her story is particularly endearing; my black irises are a cherished component of my flower garden. Initially, I acquired the first one at a garage sale in Waunakee several years ago and have since propagated them into multiple locations and distributed them among acquaintances and relatives. It is the bloom of this flower that I eagerly anticipate annually.

Greetings in June; throughout this month, I will be showcasing a different homegrown flower each day. This initiative provides an engaging platform to explore a variety of flower species. I cordially invite our valued customers, family, and friends to participate by sharing photographs of the beautiful blooms at their residences and kindly request that they forward these images to me via private message. The pictures featured in this post are of a yellow wave Petunia, which is an annual, paired with sweet Caroline, also known as black sweet potato vine, in an attractive wicker hanging basket. Notably, this arrangement actually originated from a neighbor's greenhouse, and I am pleased to be supporting local businesses. 😊
