The Riverborne. Ten beds. Link in bio.

This one started with a black walnut tree that fell into a river. A client of mine pulled it out, dried it slowly, and had it milled, and those boards became the first bed in this design. A tree carried off by the water and brought back to purpose.

It’s a simpler bed than The Prince on purpose. Frame and panel, mortise and tenon, no posts. It steps back and lets the walnut do the talking, which only works when every board is picked by hand. I go through the stack and read the grain before I make a single cut.

Until now I’ve built it one at a time at $8,800 plus delivery. This is the first run of ten, built as a batch this winter, and that’s what makes the price possible.
$7,400, delivered and installed anywhere in the country.

The third run is open. Link in bio.

The first run of The Prince sold out in 37 minutes. The second run followed it. Those first beds are going into homes from Georgia to Hawaii this winter, and enough of you have asked about the next one that I’m building ten more.

Beds 16 through 25, numbered and signed.
One thing is different this time. Every run before this, the most common question I got was what delivery would cost. So now it’s included. $9,800, delivered and installed anywhere in the United States. I bring it to your bedroom and set it up. No separate quote, no surprise number at the end.

Same bed it has always been. Over 200 board feet of solid black walnut, hand-lathed posts, brass bed bolt covers. I go through the lumber board by board and pick the grain myself, so no two are ever the same.
Ten beds, first come first served. Delivered in February.
