Our latest project takes us to the Upper East Side, where we collaborated with Far Studio on a kitchen that’s all about warm materials and beautifully considered details. ⁠

Rift-sawn white oak is paired with painted cabinetry and richly veined stone, with the millwork continuing into the breakfast nook to create a built-in banquette with additional storage below. Just beyond, the palette shifts to a high-gloss bar backed in fluted stone.⁠

How do you design a kitchen for an 1800s Victorian that honors its history while working for modern life?⁠
⁠
For this historic home, the goal was to modernize the kitchen while staying true to the classic aesthetic of the original architecture. Nearly 160 linear feet of new storage was added throughout the home, bringing much-needed function while feeling entirely in keeping with its 19th-century character. Traditional proportions, substantial solid wood cabinetry, wavy glass panels and furniture-like details allow an incredible amount of new storage to feel considered and completely at home within the original architecture.⁠

It’s a balance that extends throughout the house—and one that The Wall Street Journal described perfectly: making all that new cabinetry feel as though it had been there for 150 years.⁠

A sink can be so much more thoughtfully designed than simply choosing a basin and a faucet.⁠

Material, depth, placement, integrated drainboards and cutting boards, multiple faucets and accessories—there are countless details to consider based on how someone actually uses their kitchen. And when those functional decisions are considered alongside the cabinetry and surrounding materials, the sink evolves from just a workstation to a meaningful part of the design itself.⁠

Soaking up the last few weeks of summer in this Stone Harbor kitchen. ☀️⁠

Designed to feel at home along the Jersey shore, this kitchen takes its cues from the landscape just beyond the windows. Soft white cabinetry and a warm, driftwood-toned walnut island create a quiet, natural palette, while touches of brass add warmth and catch the sunlight throughout the day. Expansive windows and doors flood the kitchen with natural light, opening the entire living space to the water and making the view of the dunes and ocean part of the design.⁠

As our Client Experience Manager, she’s responsible for business development, nurturing client relationships, and building strategic partnerships within the design community. What she loves most about Bluebell is our people and culture, our genuine passion for excellence, and the shared brand vision our team rallies behind. Kai’s love of building authentic relationships and her competitive drive to deliver the best possible experience are just a few of the things that maker her so effective in her role.

Some people discover Bluebell through a showroom visit or a friend’s newly renovated kitchen. Madison grew up with it. As the daughter of the firm’s founder, she’s had a front-row seat to what makes Bluebell special from the very beginning. After interning here in 2022, finishing college, and working as a marketing coordinator for a
