"Fragile Beasts a Novel" by Tawni O'Dell - this is an oldie but goody. Published in 2010, it is easily found at a library. My sister recommended this as one of her all time favorites, and it is one of mine as well. I finished this book earlier this week, and have been considering starting it again. Trillion Dollar Coach by Eric Schmidt, Jonathan Rosenberg, Alan Eagle was referenced by the CIO of a large company. He said it reinforced the behavior of his company. I wish every company treated their employees with respect the way Eric, Jonathan and Alan say Bill Campbell mentored them.

"From Sand and Ash" by Amy Harmon was recommended to me by my sister. She has great taste, it is a fantastic book about two young children that grow up together, one is Catholic and the other is Jewish during WWII. I loved this book.

I loved the first two Chapters of Scott Pelley's book "Truth Worth Telling: A Reporter’s Search for Meaning in the Stories of Our Times". Those chapters tell in great detail the events of 9/11. Chapter 1 is about the the FDNY and Chapter 2 is about President Bush. Both are fantastically told and full of wonderful information about 9/11. I would buy the book just for the first 2 chapters, the rest of the book is just a bonus.

The Summer of '69 by Elin Hilderbrand is a fun summer read/listen. I grew up in a summer resort town and completely related to the characters in this book. Although the book is fun and light hearted, it tackles the challenges faced in the Summer of '69, of which there are too many to list.

The Guest Book: A Novel by Sarah Blake is a great book to read/listen to as your heading out to your favorite summer vacation spot. It travels through 3 generations of old New York money and their summer home on an island in Maine. It touches on social class, love, death and prejudice. Nothing is safe in this book.

Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams is an interesting book. I enjoyed the book, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone that is easily offended. Queenie had many unhealthy relationships with men in this book that I found disturbing. However, for every horrible relationship she had several healthy and lovely relationships with her friends and family. I'm glad I listened to the entire book. However, a book like this might be an easier read than listen. I'm not as good at skipping sections when I'm listening as when I'm reading.

Isn't this lamb a cutie? I picked up some yarn from his/her daddy at knit night. I"m going to knit some fingerless gloves with it. I can't wait to see how they turn out. Daddy has a little bit of white in his fleece so the yarn has a slight heather look and feel. ️
