5 Little Monkeys Quilt & Sew Our passion is supporting all people in their desire to learn to sew and quilt. We are a troop of 7 monkeys, headed by the Queen and King.

The Queen monkey has been hooked on all things crafty since learning to crochet at the age of 7. The King monkey is affectionately known by many as the ‘quilt helper’. He can always be counted on to carry the boxes, reach things on high shelves, and hold up the long quilts for pictures. The rest of the monkeys help in various ways. Our family has been based around quilting ever since the Queen too

k her first quilting class 18 years ago. And when this troop added a Gammill long-arm quilting machine, we became know as ‘Five Little Monkeys Quilting’. We believe that crafting is a passion. It is something that lives inside a person and should find it's way into the world through various forms of expression. Our chosen medium is fabric and sewing. The store we operate deals only in the highest quality fabrics, tools and supplies. We feel that in order for you to transform your thoughts into your beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade items, you need to be given quality supplies as well as friendly support and help. We thrive on providing both. Our store is happily positioned in the lovely Blue Ridge Mountains in the quaint town of Weaverville, NC. This town is a suburb of Asheville, a cultural Mecca of handcrafters and artists.

There are plenty of videos out there showing the hot dog pillowcase technique, but this version takes it up a notch! Make two pillowcases at once, add an inside pocket to help keep your pillow from slipping out, and finish it off with a crocheted edge for a little extra flair.

It's practical. It's pretty. And as I like to say, it's a little bit bougie.
