A bluish arrangement 💐 This one has several of my favorite flowers.
Starting with a Kawasaki Rose - she’s one of everyone’s favorites,
I have 3 Lillies designed by Mr David Shall and the little star flowers were designed by his brother Michael Shall for his mentor Alice 🫶

The blue lilies are traditional models folded in a pentagon , the leaves are either tradicional models or variations I made my self…

I personally looooove making the “eucalyptus” stems from a traditional dahlia model which I think is perfect for it!

Now the real secret? Always use little rocks in a vase when arranging origami flowers… that’s your best friend to have them “sit” just as you wish!

🌹👒Hello friends ! I’ve been meaning to share this with you for several weeks…
I made my Rosie hat for the Kentucky Derby!🌹 👒

It was a much longer process than I could share in a minute video… but here’s the assembly part…

I had made several garlands of Kawasaki Roses for myself, (which means = several days folding roses!) and decided to wrap one of the garlands around my hat.
I wanted something on theme (the Derby theme is “Red Roses” but subtle; I wanted to showcase the origami roses without being over the top… and here it is! I was super happy with how it turned out and several people complimented me on it and asked me about it!🫶

I also made a couple options of the boutonnière for my husband to match me… which I showed here in the video..

Even though the tops are made with a cutting technique, I always add some origami parts to mine… the calyx is a tiny folded octagon or pentagon… depending on my daily inspiration 😅
