Station 30 Sponsors and participates in Angel Wings Network Cancer Awareness Walk/Run Event in Weiser, Idaho, at City Park in Weiser.
Business Vendors participate by donating gift baskets filled with products and gift items from Vendors at station 30. Vendors also baked cupcakes, cookies and provided special gift items such as soaps, lip, balms jewelry, caramels, and painted rocks with cancer symbols. Also Kathy Hughes, Cuddy Moor Ranch & Lavender, set up next to station 30, providing yummy product samples to all event attendees. A real treat for all to sample her locally grown and made products. Her products are also found in her booth at Station 30. It was a great day, even though it was a bit chilly and windy, to meet new people and see familiar faces. I want to do a big shout out to a fellow Weiser business. Mi Familia Restaurant, 1800 E. 6th Street. I saw their FB post this morning and decided to dine In with them this morning. It was great!! Not to mention it was steaming hot. The presentation was absolutely beautiful and the variety was amazing and so tasty!! We invited my daughter and son-in-law to join us and it was a great Sunday morning choice. Make your plans to join them on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock for breakfast lunch Buffett well worth a short drive and the time it takes to enjoy great food!!

It's a wrap! The Outdoor Market in Redmond Oregon is over. I can say it was a lot of work, but we did very well. This year, it was definitely a "Smalls" market. Meaning everything that's easily packed and put in a bag, was selling. We sold the majority of items for $5 and under. Let me tell you, it ads up quickly. If you have ever thought about doing a flea market, or market this size to get rid of your "stuff" vs a yard sale, it might be the market for you! It's small enough to get your feet wet but big enough to sell a volume of items. It is a long ways to haul all your items to sell. I recommend penciling out the total cost involved (fuel, rooms, food, venue fee, and time) before you make any hard decisions to go. I went to this market last year as a buyer and decided it would be a good market to try as a vendor/seller. Keep in mind that every year the economy is different and items that sell well one year may not be what sells the next year. Taking a variety of a lot of items is key to making sure you have plenty of something for customers to look at to buy. Generally, if people go to these markets, they want to buy something fun. "The Joy Factor"
Last year as buyers, we saw people buying a lot of clothes, decor, picture, lamps, mirrors, furniture and weird vintage. This year we experienced shoppers buying color glass, trinkets, linens, small furniture (end tables-stands) pictures, memorabilia, rusty iron decor, gas & oil.
I would say half of the vendors sold clothes this year. Dark wood furniture was definitely in. Very little painted furniture this year. It's fun to try and learn new things. As with anything new, do your homework first and be open to learn how to do it better next time. I would recommend giving it a try, maybe do a day market closer to home. We felt we did very well, six hours of travel time was rough driving home after being tired from days of vending. Undecided if we will do another that far from home. Ready-Set-Go!! What a day at the Redmond, Oregon's Largest Garage and Vintage Sale Venue. Sunny skies and mild temperatures. As Vendors at an open market, this is a completely different experience for me. We had the best spot at the front of the gate and for the first 3 hours were so good, we headed back for the last 4 totes in the cargo trailer, to re-stock. What a good "smalls" day. Furniture hasn't moved as well as we thought but maybe tomorrow it will. People were very nice and we had the best time promoting our small business at Station 30 and our town of Weiser Idaho. Tomorrow the event at the Fair Grounds goes till 4pm.

Pre Event setup-update: Redmond, Oregon Fair Grounds. We had wind from the get go this morning, which was not easy setting up 2-pop-up's. Putting on side walks, weighing them down with 5 gallon buckets of water, setting up tables all before you crack open the cargo trailer doors. On the bright side, our vendor space is at the entrance end-cap, so we are the first vendor shoppers see. I have watched many YouTube vendors on TV 📺 and I have to say, it's harder than it looks!! Nine hours of lifting, 💪 bending, unpacking, 📦moving, re-moving, setting it up, staging it, moving it again, re-staging it again, 🫖🪧putting totes back into the cargo trailer, parking the trailer, unhooking the trailer, 🚚 on and so forth! Wow, it's a lot of work!! However, after a long day, 💨we are as ready as we can be! We will arrive at 6:30 🏁 in the morning and the venue opens at 8am. Wish us luck! 🍀
