Make a bold statement...give your sofa a cheerful new disposition...channel your beach house dreams. Each design is individually hand-cut, pieced, stitched, and stuffed. No shortcuts here...cottage-sized batches, made in a cottage-sized home studio, in a quaint seaside town on Boston's North Shore. Inspired by the ocean, rich New England history, and beautiful old towns and architecture. My name i
s Holly, and I have a love for all things home...decorating, cooking, antiquing, re-purposing, tidying (well, improvements could be made in the tidying category). I have been a Realtor, an Ethan Allen Design Consultant, an Interior Decorator...if the task involves homes and decorating, I'm all over it! For me, pillows and soft-goods have always been the ultimate decorating tools. They add coziness, personality, color, pattern and overall interest to each and every room of the home. They can be swapped out with the changing mood or season, and can satisfy your craving for change without breaking the bank. No room in my home is ever completely "done", because what is the fun in that? Change is good, and there's always room for room-improvement...a little tweak here, a little furniture rearrangement there, a new pillow or two, and voila, mini room makeover! I have been sewing for my home for years...slipcovers, draperies, pillows, home decor and kids items {however, I cringe at the thought of sewing on a button, hemming a pant leg or re-attaching a stuffed animal head}. I have been decorating and designing for years...creating elaborate custom draperies for Ethan Allen clientele {one time I designed $10k worth of custom window coverings for a customer - talk about a stressful installation!}, choosing fabrics and paint colors, space planning rooms. Color, texture and scale were part of my day-to-day, and I loved every second of it. My current incarnation is raising two beautiful girls, and constantly exposing them to my creative process. They are my biggest critics and cheerleaders, giving me honest (sometimes brutally honest) feedback on my designs, and great insight into new ideas. When I'm cutting fabric my 3 year old will ask "are you making more pillows mommy?"...But of course!
